Posted February 17, 200520 yr Staff Dear Anon,Your question reminds one of the state regulations in Singapore. Where, we are only allowed to display the national flag prior to national day and must take it down within a reasonable date after the national day is over e.g. 1 month, later. Unlike in the US, where one can display the a reasonably good condition flag all year round. In your question, it would certainly make or sense to celebrate Chinese New Year (CNY) with the decorations. But after 15 days or slightly longer, it would not make much sense to display the decorations -- other than some Chinese continue to hang a red banner "Ang chai" all year round above their door.Once CNY is over, it is best to take them down. And anticipate the arriving of the next CNY with jest!Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/17/2005 9:46:23 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Sir,Does the decoration for thechinese new year had to removeafter the 15 days of the lunarcalander ?BR
