I wonder if you could help me with the following problem. I intend to extend my period 4 house by about 50 %. I will probably have to put a new roof on the whole house. Does this make the whole house a period 8 house? I am concerned because I have designed the rooms so that they benefit from positive qi. But if the house becomes period 8, everything changes - and significantly to the worse. I would appreciate your advice.

Dear Samantha,

Based on your description; if you are to remove your roof tiles from existing area, then looks like your home will be flying into Period 8 already.

But if you are adding new roof (without removing existing home's roof) by extending it, then your home would remain the previous period 4.
