I came across one of your articles which seemed to say that it is not quite good to have a bedroom above the kitchen. I'm not sure why but my new master bedroom happens to be above the kitchen. What shall I do?

Yes. The reason behind it is simple. Since the kitchen is below the bedroom, the likelyhood of a fire to start under the kitchen would be very much higher. As such becomes a pontential danger to the people sleeping above.

The most simple and practical way to solve this threat is to install smoke detectors. This will at least alert you in case of such a situation.
