Hi,apprecaite your help on this case:

Male = kua 3, east group.

His Bazhi needs 'metal'element. Advised to sleep in west sector with head pointing to west. However, under his ming kua, west is his Death sector.

Should he follow his Bazhi pointing west to sleep or follow his kua (best 4 directions) to sleep?

It is best to follow this rule:-

1. Ba Zi direction is best applied to more macro feng shui analysis. Such as North of the country or North facing house.

2. Eight House direction is best applied to more micro feng shui analysis. Such as the sleeping / work / study direction.

Therefore, you should follow the eight house direction more than the ba zi element of the direction. Ba Zi element should be enhance by other method such as colours of clothings, career, etc.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
Robert Lee
