We bought a new house. The main door is facing NW. Heard the 'wu-huang-sha' (5-yellow-sha) is on NW this year 2005 so it is not good to renovate. Is that ok if we start the renovation now but only move in next year (2006) after Lunar New Year?

Besides, in front of the main door, if I stand facing outside, on my right top about 100m, I can see thesharp corner roof of my neighbour house. Is changing the main door direction the only way, or any other ways to exhaust the 'cha qi'? Thanks a lot!

My gua is 7 and my husband is 9.

Firstly, is this a period 7 (1984-2003) house or period 8 (2004-2023) house. The reason I ask this is because, if it is a period 7 house or earlier, then any major renovation work done will change the house period. So the luck of the entire house might change for the better or worst depending on the charts.

Generally, if you have a star 5 in the main door this year, of course, the worry would be that if the NW sector star is not balanced enough, it might activate the yearly star. This may the main door sector less auspicious for this year. However, this will impact your house luck if you are staying there this year. So it should not be a major issue to start work on it this year. But you should at least choose a good date to begin work. And it will pass away after the start of the Chinese New Year, then move in to stay.

What most people will want to avoid is actually offending the Grand Duke ie West 270 degree should avoid any major renvoations. If work is really necessary, then at least perform a small prayer to seek forgiveness before you start. And choose a good date to begin the renovation to minimise any impact.

Usually, for most external Sha Qi such as this. If you can have either some plants in between the Sha Qi and your door. Or have some kind of partition in your house just before you enter into the house, these two can help to block the Sha Qi that you are mentioning.

If the above two methods are not possible, then you may have no choice but to place a circular mirror or a bagua to help deflect the Sha Qi.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
