I am now 15 week pregnant with my first child.I wonder if it is alright for me to do some carpentry works such as construct a built-in cabinet and install a new double decker junior bed set in the children room? I also plan to discard the existing furniture.

I would also like to seek professional help in choosing the baby's chinese name. We have few names in mind but not sure if it is suitable. We prefer face to face consultation. How much is your rate for this?

Frankly, this is not recommended. This is because most chinese believes feel that having to deal with nails or sharp tools can often lead to miscarriage. So not really a good idea for you to participate in carpentry works. Best to leave it to other family members in the house or wait until you have given birth.

The name can only be choosen after the child has given birth as only then will we know what is the element of the baby to find the most suitable name.
