I brought HDB unit in period 7 and I painted all the Ceiling in 2004,
does that put my unit into Period 8 ?

The problem here is that painting all the ceiling is only a symbolic action in order to attempt to emulate a major renovation of removing the roof of a house. So itisn't truly a major renovation. So it will take time (sometimes 1 year) for your house Qito convert to the period 8.


Usually, if you want to expedite the change, you may need to have a few major celebrations in the house to attempt to quicken the change over to the new period.
