It is really hard to advise without any layout to view what exactly you mean.

However, for any of the odd shapes layout there are usually a few ways to apply feng shui:-

1. ie find the center influence of the entire layout, then treat those missing areas as missing sectors of the house or treat some of the sectors as a protrusion.

2. ie divide the layout into two portions to apply the feng shui. especially for L shaped apartments.
