Yes, every day has different Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch combination (ie 60 different unique combinations from the 10 Heavenly Stem and 12 Earthly Branch). So since the Heavenly Stem changes in cycle, it will cycle through the 10 different Heavenly Stem. That is why Cecil mentioned that there is 10-day cycle.

Generally, each element has a certain characteristics. However, each ba zi will have different characteristics depending on what ten deities are found in the full ba zi chart.
