Hi, i am staying on the 14th floor in an apartment..just would like to know how to take and from where should i take the compass direction ? Is it from the main entrance to the apartment or the main door to my unit or from my balcony ?

As you are staying on the 14th floor, this falls under apartment (8th level and up). Thus, your facing direction is taken from your living room/balcony facing. So stand inside your home at your balcony or living room and take a reading looking outwards. That willl be your facing direction of the house.
