In 2006, Tai Sui resides in the NW direction. Is it alright to sit at my working desk facing SE (in order to get support from NW)even if SE is my bad direction? My Kua no. is 6.

Generally, the most important thing is avoid having any major renovations to disturb the tai sui. Which in this case avoid having any major renovations in NW direction.

 

 

As for the sitting and having the tai sui behind you, this is more for any major events or key things in your life. So as to get the Tai Sui behind you to back you up.

 

 

Otherwise, for normal day to day activities, frankly, as long as you do not do any major renovations, then it is still ok to facing one of your better directions based on your eight house.
