Hi, I'm born in a year of Wood Hare in 1975. I Heard from some people said that if you have an element of wood you must avoding having kitchen below your bedroom where you sleep. Because Kitchen is an element of fire and will burn the people who sleep above it especially if that people is from wood element. Is this true???

If this is true, how can I correct it? If there is a way to correct it, how to do it without me moving out to another room???

Actually, having a kitchen below a bedroom is generally bad irregardless of what element you are. I mean whether you are a weak earth, weak wood etc. This is because, the potential of a fire starting from the ktichen is always higher. And irregardless of what element you belong too, if there is a fire you may be burned by it. It does not mean that if you are a weak earth and fire is good for you, that if there is a fire, it will not kill or burn you.

So kitchen below a bedroom is ideally not good. This is true.

The most practical way is to install a smoke detector even a watersprinker. At least in case of a real fire, it will give you some warning and give you enough time to escape. This is much better than believing that by putting6-coins metal or other traditional feng shui cure to be effective. I mean if there is a fire, all these items will melt.

Thanks for the advice about the water sprinkler and smoke detector, but don't you think that sprinkler and detector will be alarm if put directly above the kitchen because cooking will creat a lot of heat to trigger sprinkler or detector alrm. And the most important thing is that sprinkleror detctor can correct my feng shui or is it just for safety precaution????

The smoke detector would be most practical for homes while sprinkler for any larger complex commercial type building.

There are some guidelines to the best placement of the smoke detector so you should follow those guidelines when installing it. So you should not just install it over the stove, but usually some location ie a room beside the kitchenthat does not get the alarm activated falsely but yet able to detect once a real fire get out of hand. Usually the manufacture ofthe smoke detector or even a comprehensivehome security and firealarm packagecompany can give you better advise on thebest effective placement.

In any case, the main problem about the kitchen below the bedroom is due to the high probability of fire. With modern technological advancement, smoke detectors is the most ideal solution to this problem. At least it will be much better than using any traditional solution such as 6 coins or bagua mirror etc. All of which will simply burn in the flames, whereas the smoke detector will give you some warning to be able to allow you to escape.

A feng shui solution is whatever that can effectively fix the problem. So yes, the smoke detector is an effective solution to this problem. If the problem no longer exists or is minimised then of course it corrects the feng shui aspect as well.

In any case, the problem you are facing isn't really one of the MAJOR feng shui problem that adversely causes big luck issue to the your. The solution suggested will correct the problem, but to have luck improvement you will need to make sure that your bedroom colour is the right colour to suit you as well as to enhance other areas of the home.
