I have placed a salt & coin in the west sector of the apartment for a month. Initially the water in the jar was milky with lots of bubbles. But recently the water is getting clearer and the salt has evaporated (almost completely). Is this normal? Can anyone please advise what I should do next? Should I change the water & add new raw salt in the jar or start a new salt & coin?

Yes, it is normal as the various chemical process has already been used up however, how fast or slow depends on theproportion of the water containersize and number of coins. So, it is best to change it after a few months.
