I am not sure if the year of birth has pass the chinese lunar year or not. If so then you should be a Li Kua where your best directions are South/East, South-East/North. While your husband is Kan Kua, which allso have the same group, but his best is North/South-East, and East/South.

Since he is likely to be the breadwinner, then go for North or South-East facing. Since it is also your favourable element, I don't think you need to worry about having oposite kua.
