person's favourable direction is N, E, SE and S. Let's
talk about the North direction, how precise must this
North be? Will 340degNNW be considered as North?

And will 20degNNE be considered as N or NE?
Because if it is NE, then it will not be favourable to
him (east person).

Secondly, I was wondering why do we use English
calendar birth year to calculate the Kua number?
I thought Fengshui is originally from China??

When you talk about eight house, you have to ensure each direction is 45 degree. So This means North is between 337.4 to 22.4 degree. So 340 still falls under North.

20 Degree still falls under North. Only if it is 22.5 then it is North-East.

All feng shui concepts uses the Lunar Calendar for any analysis. So one must first convert the english calendar to lunar calendar before analysis.

To analyse the kua number without converting to the chinese calendar would be wrong. This means that say if you are born on 1 Jan 1966, your lunar is actually 10 day 12 month 1965. So your kua number must be based on 1965 and not 1966.

On our website, we do that conversion for you automaticallywhen you enter the english calendar. Thus, by default all our system ask for the english birthday, then convert for them tolunar birthday before any analysis isdone.

Didn't I say that you must use the Lunar year in my above quote? This means you should be using 1965(the lunarbirth year)if based on my example and not the western year 1966 (rather than the western birth year).
