I keep hearing how bad any combination of 5 and 9 is. In my house my bedroom is in the north region, which is also not a good region for me (spook area). The mountain star is 5 and the water star in 9, base is 3 in period 7. How do Icure this? I have tried searching for explanations or solutions on the website, but have found none. I am also a strong fire. My house does face my prosperity area of SW2.

Dear Anon,

For really bad stars #5 combined or inflammed by #9; it is good to control this with "moving-metal".

"Moving-metal" is particulary useful since you mentioned that in addition to these two bad stars, there is a further #3 = lawsuits, quarrels star.

If the bedroom is not a bedroom, then one may consider using a six-hollow-rod windchime at that specific sector. Or a chiming clock around the wall of that sector.

A clock that makes mechanical movement is also acceptable.

Other traditional Feng Shui cures include:-

a. the placement of a hulu or bottle gourd e.g. placed at the bed side table.

b. for severe cases: get a jam jar (sized bottle). place 6 copper coins into it. Add two spponfuls of salt. Add water until 3/4 full. Stir the ingredients and place it close to a window (nearby).
