Dear Sir/Mam,

I really do not understand at all about Hou-Lou. Would you kindly explain what exactly the Hou-Lou is. As I know that Hou-Lou is the Chinese Sacred Kabalash, is it true? But I still do not understand what it means and what the form is.

Regarding Wou-Lou, should it have the cap so that the wou-lou is not opened? Because I bought the wou-lou with the mouth open (without the cap). And is there any certain conditions to hang the hou-lou and wou-lou? when the exact time to hang it up or to hang it down/take down)?

I hope these questionsare allowed to be asked and I'm looking forward to have the answer/the explanation. Thank you.

Regards,

Srie

Dear Shinta,

In real life:-

Huo-lu actually is the Chinese word for a stove be it a modern or olden stove.

While in romanized Mandarin, there is no such thing as wou-lou. It might have being either wrongly spelt as referred to the above "huo-lu" or are you referring to a "hu lu"?

A hu lu is actually known as "bottle gourd". Traditionally used by many practitioners to neutralise sickness stars e.g. #5 or #2. For example, some FS practitioners may require one to place a bottle gourd ( hu lu) next to the bed to "suck away " sickness? Thus of these bottle gourds have a cap some do not. And many have wordings on the bottle gourd(s).

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
