If I find a house with a good facing direction, the number is not auspicious even if I bring it into period 8. Please advice which I should look out for as I would like to start the new year with a good new home for my family.

The house facing is the more important as that determines the overall Earth Luck Qi of the home.For example, for a West groupperson, the besthouse facing in general forthis period 8is a NE/SW facing house. Foran East group person, it will be the next best S/E facing.Not only should the house have good Qi that you can benefit from, it should also be suitable to you otherwise you may not be able to enjoy the best amount of luck from the house.The housenumber isalways secondary. Furthermore,there are many many ways to determine an auspicious house number.For example, most Chinese just don't want to have a 4in the number because itsounds like die in cantonese.So house number is reallysecondary.
