Hi I do not speak Chinese and went to a Buddhist Temple and shook the bamboo sticks-chi-chi sticks and drew the number 1. does anyone know what this means? thanks.

Honestly, if you have taken a photo or managed to write it down, could have helped you to interpret the Chinese characters. Otherwise, it is anyone's guess.
