Dear Anon, 1. In my most recent posting, I elaborated on the Holy Trinity of Luck (Geomancy Luck). 2. The single most abused thing in Geomancy today has to do with a marketing ploy for us to purchase "stuffs". 3. If we analyse carefully, this area or the sale of products comes under Human or man luck. 4. The reason why products are touted today is that Geomancers will try to squeeze out as much as they can out of our (hard earned) money to "sell" or "promote" products. 5.Thus, many of us who had visitedFeng Shui sites before will come to expect that site has a products page with all sorts of products for sale. 6. Actually, such products costs very little to produce. But sold at a very high mark-up. As a result, the FS consultant not only get his fees but also make some of us forkout a few thousanddollars more. 7. Is'nt it better to savesuch money either forthe rainy day or for our children's education. 8. If we look at most rich people, they do not haveall these "crazy" things stackedup in their home, facing the main door, looking out of the windows etc... Therefore, think twice before, being conned into buying lots of stuffs! Warmest Regards, Cecil
  2. Dear Anon, Actually, when we consider luck under metaphysics (Geomancy), we should look at it from a holistic approach involving three types of luck:- Previously, I have already mentioned about three kinds of luck:- 1. Heaven Luck (known as Luck that was given to us when we are born) If we can see our Ba Zi chart, it comes under the category known as Pian Cai or "lottery or windfall" luck. Some of us are quite lucky while others do not have this type of luck at all. Worse, some of us have this luck only when we are at death bed e.g. 99 or 100 years old! 2. Earth Luck (or commonly known as Feng Shui) While some of us many not have Pian cai or lottery luck, some of us, get our influence from our earth luck. For example, good Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is one factor. Another is the application of Flying Star Feng Shui. Under Flying star Feng Shui, if we are able to properly tap our flying star luck e.g. #8 = present prosperity (Under #8, commonly the Mountain star #8 has to do with relationship and lottery luck). (Under water star #8, it is suppose to bring generally good wealth luck) #9 = future prosperity and #1 = future future prosperity. Of-course, it also boils down to the three words: "location, location and location". 3. Human Luck or Man Luck Under this holy trinity of Geomancy: Heaven, Earth and Human Luck, we can see that sometimes, perhaps a home may not have very good Feng Shui, or we may not necessarily have good Heaven luck, but if we do have good Human (Man) Luck, often, this can bring up our total LUCK. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  3. Dear Sophia, Please see below:-
  4. Dear Josephine, If the home is facing 75 degrees then under Flying Star Feng Shui, it is considered as a East 1 chart. Currently, this home is considered as a Period 7 home, E1. If the home is maintained (no major renovations done), then this home can take advantage of #8 i..e. a water position at NE (water star #8) and SE (which has an auspicious mountain star #8 at this sector) to boost the wealth of the home. Other then this, one may consider "flying the home to Period 8, depending on the interior layout and star chart numbers of Period 8 to see if it is better than the current Period 7 chart. From the Shapes and forms point of view, the home is relatively in a "grid" and looks like all homes in this area is "flat". And thus on average, is acceptable - Shapes and Forms. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Dear Linda, Actually, you can use the many free calculators located at http://www.geomancy-online.com to generate the correct charts. As to the Chinese zodiac signs, because usually January or February or even as late as March, this is where the new year of the lunar calendar stars. For exampel in 1997:- 19 Feb 1996 to 6 Feb 1997 = fire rat and those born 7 Feb 1997 to 27 Jan 1998 = fire ox Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net/astrology/ayear/a90-2010.htm This can change the Ba zi element and strength for anyone born between 1 January 1997 to 6 February 1997 if they had wrongly being considered as a fire ox instead of a fire rat. Therefore, why not use the free calculator and solve all your problems. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  6. Dear Anon, Usually for each sharp pointed design aimed at your flat, there is not much choice but to counter it. Thus, if there is one sharp pointed edge pointed at a specific window, one mirror can be used there. But if there is another sharp pointed object, another one should be used at another window. There is really not much choice, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  7. Dear Hong, Since you have accepted to keep the mask and violin bow, it is best to e.g. wrap them up (if not done so already) in newspaper and keep it in a store room - not display it. It is good that you have rejected the purse. Do check when their renovations are over and more importantly, when are they collecting it back. Avoid displaying these two items in your home or visible in the living room. Usually, if one has a Chinese Loupan, any objects that harbour any "illl effects" can make the Loupan compass needle sway in different directions. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  8. Dear Anon, A relationship needs two hands to clap. However, since both of you still love each other, it is best to find out what is wrong. (But not sure how to, it is best to get professional help or assistance in this area. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  9. Dear William, Frankly, there is no harm in hanging a painting of guan yin facing the main door. Usually, it is hang in the living room area. Although the painting of guan yin does not have it's eyes "dotted", it is still best to avoid:- 1. letting the painting face the dining table 2. have it's back to a toilet wall or share a toilet wall 3. avoid facing into any of the bedrooms. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  10. Dear Ann, I strongly believe that there are more sectors that need balancing also. However, for a #3, #9 and #7 combination, it is not too good an idea to use water here:- 1. #3 is a bad wood element. And water helps to further fuel bad wood! 2. #9 is under Period 8, the "Future prosperity star" and if it is also the ws#9, then avoid adding water! This is because 9 = fire element. And adding water would drown your "future prosperity". 3. #7. Actually, #7 is a weak metal. And can easily be exhausted when it takes care of #3 bad wood. (Here, metal destroys wood or exhausts it.) In fact, #9 is also used to control #7. Thus, a water position is not an ideal thing to use, here. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  11. Dear Emily, Only if #8 is a Water star, can we best activate it. However, in your question, since #8 = base star, it will have to take on the characteristics of it's personal element i.e. this is suppose to be an auspicious earth element. And on it's own, using water is not a good idea. Since water is like having a "hole to drawn the mountain". Not the kind of idea to do so. In fact, under a Flying star chart, if there is e.g. a base #8 while one of the other stars is a #5, because of Period 8, the #8 is suppose to reign supreme or take precedence over only one #5 in the chart. But if there are two or more #5 with #8 in a sector, than, this may over power #8. For example, in a sector, there are:- MS#5WS #6 Base #8 In such a chart, since there is only one #5 vs a good base #8, placing water at this sector may accidently drown the auspicious #8. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Dear Fenger, Actually, in my opinion, it has to do more with the immediate family. Thus, in your case, since it is your hb's father's uncle, he should not be considered as the immediate family member. Thus, in my opinion, since the uncle is not an immediate family member, then holding a wedding 100 days later is actually OK. But if it is one's immediate family member than the wedding should be held one year later. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Dear Anon, A better method is to draw a Flying star chart of the home. Find out where is the water star #8. (This star is suppose to be the current water prosperity sector). If the location so happens to be next to the TV set, then water can be activated here. Under the flying star chart, if this sector happens to be the mountain star #8 (current mountain star prosperity sector), then a water position here can inadvertenly "drown" or suffocate the mountain wealth sector. Under the flying star chart, if the sector also happens to be mountain star #9 (future prosperity sector). And 9 represents the fire element, a water position can drown the future prosperity sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Dear Rose, 1. Firstly, although white is associated with the metal element, generally, it is a very safe colour to paint, since it is also a neutral colour for the home. (Even though both of you are considered as a strong water person - it is ok). 2. Traditionally, therefore, white is a neutral and pleasant color. 3. In general, under period 8, pastel shades of earth colors like beige is usually a better option since it is the "color" of Period 8. 4. So, in general both colors are acceptable. 5. In order to fly to period 8, one may have to remove a portion of the roof or change some of the roof-tiles of the home. In an apartment, symbolically one change to period 8, by repainting the entire ceiling of the home at one go. Plus, in addition, one should have "yang" activity such as a celebration to help to fly into the new period. 6. Changing the kitchen cabinet top alone cannot fly to period 8, since this is not considered as a major renovation. But a combination of what I mentioned in the earlier paragraph - Paragraph 5 above) can change the home to period 8. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  15. Dear Danny, Have u taken into consideration both partners (husband and wife) if you have two parties in the masterbedroom. Without any major renovation, it is best to look at the bedroom - with first priority on the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. As the owner of the home, it is still best to occupy the master bedroom instead of using the study as the master bedroom - (first priority, here). Under the Eight House Theory, there is not much one can do, since it is a fixed idea or concept. Actually, the "bad influence" or rather it can belooked at by applying Flying Star Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  16. Dear Sandy, Yes, it makes practical sense for the 4-poster bed to be covered with fabric or lace. - OK, no issue. As it makes it easy to "maintain" i.e. wash and re-use again. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. In Singapore, it is very common to find many shops selling "ancient-Chinese coins". But do take note that these are often imitation coins. And in-fact, imitation coins are good enough to be used. This is because a real geniune ancient Chinese coin can costs as much as S$25 or USD$13 each. In Singapore, I believe, the last time I was around this area; one can get the coins for as little as 50 cents to S$1 at the Bencoolen Building:- http://www.streetdirectory.com.sg/map.jsp?masterID=29016&postal=187951&building_name=&road_name=WATERLOO%20STREET&house_blk_no=42&heading=&&x=30231.36&y=31582.97&level=7&iconlist=star,30231.36,31582.97;&clickMap=0&clickX=30242.19&clickY=31592.72 There are several shops in this building and many others around the various shopping complexes within this vicinity. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  18. Dear Anon, To give another "crude" way of associating with language, for example, some people use language in the "wrong way". For example, in Singapore, some of us learn dialect or use dialects to 'scold" people or use "foul language" widely. Here, the act of verbal abuse or like a politician, using much of the language to stir up people, can be considered as the "fire element". Anyone therefore, scolds someone, use 4-letter words can be considered as the act of using the "fire element". This is just an example. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  19. Dear Anon, Frankly, in my opinion, there are no right or wrong answers, here. For example, the act of studying has to do with "growth" or building a knowledge base. Much likea tree getting nourishment from the ground and growing bigger and taller. A language is based on individual cultures and often is fluid i.e. we talk, communicate - two ways. Much like cars on both sides of the highway. Thus, we can say generally that the art of communication both hearing (listening) and feedback perhaps could belong to the water element. Much like the French language which is fluid .... For philosophy, if it is the art of learning it then again it could be the wood element. While, I believe, it could also have the earth element or much of it is "down-to-earth" type of reasoning. I believe philosophy is in harmony with your earth element. While language or the art of studying language belongs to the wood element. Under the Five elements concept, wood destroys earth (much like the roots of a tree crushing into the earth) to produce wealth. Here, under the Five elements concept, for Earth, it's power of authority comes from wood. More rightly so, since "language is power" or learning more languages give us the power to understand other cultures or also to give us a competitive advantage especially if we do work in a firm from that culture. Warmest regards, Cecil
  20. Dear Anon, In reality, frankly I believe, these are fixtures and very difficult to remove nor keep away from. However, currently, the major concern is that of sewerage pipes, than water pipes. But lets hope, this is non-issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  21. Dear Sophia, 1. 6 (SIX) represents "big metal" and this is why, it is commonly used as a "cure" to neutralise e.g. #2 (sickness) or #3 or #4 (bad wood - career, lawsuits, scandals, education, romance type of issues) 2. Since we are now under the influence of Period 8, there is now a surge of anything to do with the number 8. Previously, the phonetic sound of "8" is particulary very auspicious especially for the Cantonese dialect group. 3. But now, many would like to hear that 8 is a good or SUPPOSE to be a very auspicious number under Period 8. 4. However, if we stick purely to the academic line of the Flying Star School of Feng Shui:- 6 = metal element 8 = earth element 4.1 Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, it is good that 6 represents metal as well as 6 also represents big metal. And since coins are used, it is simply = big metal. 4.2 Under the productive sequence of Flying Star Feng Shui, 8 = earth element. And perhaps a string of 8 coins would mean 8 earth produces or increase metal or gold. 4.3 For example, under the productive sequence of the Five Elements concept, earth produces metal. 4.4 Thus SYMBOLICALLY, it is acceptable to have a string of 8 coins given the above meaning. 4.5 In Feng Shui also, there are calls by some FS practitioner for certain use of:- a 7 coin "cure" this is symbolic of or equal to = weak metal cure. 5. Alternatively, we often hear a string of 3 coins. Here, three or number 3 represents wood. And since the coins are made of metal e..g copper or bronze, metal destroys wood to create wealth. If one wants to understand further, please find out each of the numbers and their association e.g. 1 = water element ; 2 = earth element etc.. And also understand the Five elements concept; I am sure, you will be in the right path to understand all the various significance of it. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  22. Dear Zey, Please refer to my attachment. I have indicated three possible senarios where a partition could be used. Proposal 2 and Proposal 3 can be disadvantages for your home. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  23. Dear Cindy, Based on what you had mentioned, it would make more sense to use the sw247. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Amy, No, removing the trees (external) does not change the Flying star qi. However, this year, the Grand Duke of Jupiter is at compass degree SSW. And removing the tree(s) at SW may not be a responsible thing to do. Given that one should not distrub the Grand Duke at his present location. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  25. Dear Anon, Just to confirm. Are both your doors directly facing each other? If so, is the neighbour's door number on his/her door. Or is that the neighbour had placed a hanging mobile number facing the wall. Warmest regards, Cecil
