Building roof with metal springs
Dear Anon, Apologies, perhaps can you describe what you mean by `metal springs'. Are they pointed; aimed at your bedroom window or are they vertical and do not pose as `poison' arrow. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Question on kitchen and front door
Hi, Please see below:- A warm welcome:) An alternative method is use this site's Eight House at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Another alternative is simply sign up for a free account at http://www.geomancy-online.com (Under this URL, you can simply input the relevant details as `asked' by the program and the Eight House Chart is generated online for you. You can save it or print it anytime. It is too superficial for me to answer your questions. To analyse a house, you can be as simplistic or as detailed as possible. Simple answers to whether an apartment is good for you are as follows: 1. Use the Shapes and Form School. If you are new, perhaps, you need to read the articles under http://www.geomancy.net/fs/theory.htm There is no quick fix situations. You may need to spent some time understanding things like Feng Shui and the Environment, the site and your home. 2. Use the Eight House Theory (as mentioned above) to check to see if the house is suitable for you. Here, if the death or disaster intangible force runs along the main entrance door, the house is under this theory considered unsuitable for you. Next, you can use this theory to futher check what influences i.e. intangible force is at the bedroom and locations that you spent more time. If you are just a `passer-by' and do not need or want to go further into other Feng Shui theories, then you can stop here. 3. If you want `peace of mind' you can usually consult a competent FS consultant and Traditional Feng Shui practioners can do an audit of your home i.e. using the Flying Star Theory to do a birth chart of your house. Many would also analyse it together with your Pillars of destinty element and its strength. This would depend on the location of the kitchen. The reason why Geomancers pay emphasis on the kitchen is because this is where we `get' our food. Why do we need to consider the location of the kitchen? If the kitchen is located at the North (water element) of the house, it is best not to locate it near to the main entrance door. This is because, the warmth of the kitchen may "expire" or die out. But if the kitchen is located at the South (represented by the fire element), it is acceptable to have the kitchen next to the main door. Alternatively, it is still ok to have a water position opposite the stove to cool it at the South. Therefore, the direction to avoid is having a kitchen at the North compass direction with the main door next to it. Otherwise, you do not need to `worry' unduly over this concept. Apologies, I still cannot get the correct picture. For the bed, it is best not to have the head or (headrest) of the bed against a window. Secondly, the bed should not face the toilet. One remedy is to use a side table lamp between the bed and the toilet. In such a situation, the side table with the table lamp acts as a `barrier' or shield. Perhaps you can elaborate further or sent me a sketch in e.g. .gif or .jpg format. Warmest Regards, Cecil

4 symbolic animals and how to determine house direction
Dear Ann, In general, there are more than two concepts in relation to the " Four Symbolic Animals Concept ". The four animals: Dragon, Phoenix (Bird), Tortise and Tiger is usually expressed as " pictoral symbols " to allow us to visualize and understand concepts. I like to elaborate two of the more common uses of the Four Symbolic Animals Concept: 1. Under the Shapes and Form School, these animals represents a set of theory that allows us to understand that: a. Tortise - The back of the house should have a solid backing. b. Phoenix - or a bird flying freely represents clear space at the front of the house. c. The Dragon - Yang location. d. The Tiger - Yin Location. Here, it is ideal to have a Yang Dragon embrace with the Yin Tiger. Where the Yang Dragon is taller and it embraces the Yin Tiger. (Some authors include the colour element to each animal e.g. Dragon is Green, Tiger white, Tortise black and Bird/Phoenix is Red). The colours under the Shapes and Form School is less important. It has its significance under Para 2. below. The above is used to analyse the Landscape. This is why under the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui, the Phoenix is always at the front; the tortise is always at the back; the Dragon is always on the left of the house and the Tiger is always at the right side of the house (if u are standing at the "frontage" of the house looking outside). Here, you will notice that unlike using the Compass method, the "layout" of the four animals never change in relation to a house. This is both applied in the exterior and interior of the house. For the interior, for e.g. your working table should have a solid backing behind (tortise). Where possible, the front of the working table should face a clear space. For e.g. it can be placed facing an open window. 2. As a picture tells a thousand words, the Four animals is again used by other Feng Shui concepts to provide a pictorial image for ease of understanding. You can now see why sometimes we get confused as to why the four animals are used to represent the four directions under Para 1. The Shapes and Form School and now, used `differently' to represent another concept under the Compass School Under the Compass School of Feng Shui, we are more concerned with the Cardinal points of the compass. This is why under the Compass School, we ALWAYS relate each of the animals with their colour. Here, colours are added to the Compass School concept to relate to the Five Elements concept: We have the GREEN Dragon = EAST, WHITE Tiger = WEST, Black Tortise = North, Phoenix = RED. In addition to this we have the Snake = Yellow at the centre. But the snake is less important today. The above colours also relate to the Five elements. Where Green = Wood element, White = Metal element; Red = Fire element, Black = Water and Yellow = Earth. Here, it would not be difficult to visualise that if you consider the animals under the Compass School such as the Flying Star, it has to do with the specific compass direction and the element. This is unlike the use of the four animals under the Shapes and Form School. I believe, many users always get confused or never realised that separate theories are used when we talk about the four animals. This has led many people to be confused as to why some FS practioners/authors say that the East is always the Green Dragon but others say that this is not the case. The Dragon is always on the left side of the house. I hope the above clears the confusion for you. In addition to the above, the four animals are also used as pictorial representation of Yin and Yang concepts. Where the Dragon represents the most Yang of all animals and the Tiger, a Yin animal. This is why one has to becareful not to create a too yin environment at the West. Please see below:- I am really sorry, no amount of words can full describe the actual visual understanding of the environment. It is best to consult a competent Feng Shui consultant is access your situation. I am always very `fearful' of giving advise related to the above as one must always be physically present inorder to provide proper advise on such matters. Hope you understand. Here again, it is best to be physically present to view and collect all available information. I am thus unable to give you proper advise based on the above. Yes, enviromental scanning and including site scanning are equally important and one needs to be present at the site to make a proper accessment. An expert FS practioner will look at the whole picture i.e. the environment, the site and the situation of the home before coming up with an advise. The ideal situation is to avoid having the toilet bowl at the exact compass degree. It is ok for the "toilet" to be situated at a compass direction but avoid having the toilet BOWL situated at the spot i.e. every 15 degrees e.g. 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees and + 15 degrees etc... It is acceptable say to have the shower at these locations. The toilet bowl should be degrees off such as e.g. 22 degress away from 15 or 30 degrees as an example. As an East Group people, you should also include the Eight House Theory i.e. to avoid having the death and disaster intangible force at the main entrance door and especially at the bedrooms. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Arrow shaped pointers on monitor are they bad
Dear Anon, In my opinion, graphic illustrations are `flat objects'. On a Personal Computer, it lies `flat' on a person's screen. Contrast this with a physical object e.g. such as the corner of a table. The corner of a table is considered a poision arrow. Therefore, unless it is a three dimension object that points directly towards a person, I sincerely believe that the graphic illustrations do not have an impact on a person. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Net curtains to block the poison arrows
Dear Anon, One `rule' under Feng Shui is that if you cannot see the poision, it is no longer a threat. For those who are new to this forum, here are some examples of how this concept is applied: 1. One reason why many FS practioners ask you to place a screen between the main door and (say if there is a straight backdoor) or a staircase is that if you cannot see the offending sha, it no longer becomes a threat. 2. If a poision arrow is aimed at your window, this is why one method is to use a thicker set of curtain to `block' off the poision arrow. I have seen the latest car net (sun screens) as those you mentioned. The driver who drives behind the car cannot really see inside the car. Here, if the net behaves the same way e.g. you stand outside the house and looked in and unable to really see into the house, in my opinion, the net serves the same purpose that is to neutralise the poision arrow. What you have mentioned is really a good idea and an excellent technique to neutralise poision arrow. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

L shaped living room
Dear Anon, The more important consideration as you have mentioned is to try avoid having an `L' shape. It is thus better to `break' down the `L' into two square/rectangle shape. It does not really matter here if you have to decide what to call the two `halves'. You can call one the main living room and the other any name. It really does not matter. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Placing of bed in bedroom
Dear Harriet, Initially, you can use the Eight House Template to "map out" your rooms to check which sectors are auspicious or inauspicious. You can either use the web based html format at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm or Sign up for a free account at www.geomancy-online.com to create your Eight House Template. You can then check whether there is any inauspicious influences on the sector of the room. The Eight House can only check for the above and this is where it ends. This is because the Eight House Theory of auspicious or inauspicious influences does not take into consideration the Five Elements concept. Serious investigative work would include using the Flying Star Charts to check on whether the location has inauspicious Stars especially No. 2 and 5 (sickness and misfortune). This is based on the Five elements concept and used to analyse and fine tune the home if it does occur at locations like the bedroom, main door etc... For now, it is good for you to do a Eight House Chart to look at the `surface'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Keeping Bicycle inside. Good or Bad?
Dear Fraser, Please see below:- Overall, for bikes, there is no impact under Feng Shui. It is a `small' object in relation to the size of the house/room. I have to clarify that bikes need human intervention i.e. you must sit on it and paddle in order to move. As for a clock, it `moves' by itself i.e. the mechanism within moves continously. Under Feng Shui, it is considered an object that can deflect sha qi. This is why it should not be placed facing a door or a window unless you want to counter an opposing `sha qi' coming into the house. No. As stated above, it is used only if there is a sha qi opposite it. Here, you can then use it. Otherwise, it is not an enhancer. Currently, there is no known documentation available to say where and where you should place a bicycle. Best that you place it at a " convenient " place that makes it easy for you should u want to use it or keep it. Personally for myself, I enjoy cycling and usually bring it to my storeroom after cycling. The movement is from the backdoor to the storeroom. My reason for doing so is that it does not `dirty' my front area if the tires are dirty. I have not personally thought of any repurcussion if any or the `taboo' of placing it at the wrong location. I personally feel that the most important thing we should do under Feng Shui is to get a good home (site, house based on good Feng Shui) is usally good enough. Warmest Regards, Cecil

List of Elements of difficult to classify objects
Dear Fraser, Usually, symbolism takes precedence over the material of the object. For example, if it is a wooden pyramid; we should consider it of the fire element as it has a pointed top. Secondly, the colour of the object usually also takes precedence over the material used. For example, if it is a red plastic chair, we should consider it as a fire element. One important point to note is that we should not be overly concerned with every `small' object we find around us. As a guide, we should consider objects that are 33.3 percent of the overall size of the room or area as having an impact on us. Otherwise, one should not concern ourselves with it. The same is not true if you are placing an object that looks like a `monster' or any other suspicious image in the shape or outline of these `unusual objects'. Otherwise, it should be ok. On a person's body, we can still apply the 33.3 percent `rule'. For example, a red cotton shirt can thus have an impact on us. As mentioned above, the shape and colour usually takes precedence over the material used. For example, a black plastic container takes symbolic significance of Water element (black = water element colour) As mentioned, shape and colour takes precedence over the material. If one has read the Pillars of Destiny sample report, you will find a `breakdown' on the various elements. Some of us have more of one element than the other. Here, Pillars of Destiny tries to map out all our elements (five - all five if any). You can thus say that each of us should have a balance of all the elements. If not, we need to seek a balance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Arranging a class room under FS conditions
Dear Yael, The truth is that Feng Shui theories do not really have an answer to the application of Feng Shui to a classroom. However, as a guideline, for the placement of tables and chair, it should be placed so that light entering the windows do not pose glare to the table tops. Usually, tables should be arranged straight rows and columns and the teacher sit directly facing the children. Other than the above and creating a more yang environment e.g. you can display work done by the children on the walls or noticeboards to increase their esteem. The rest will have to depend on the method of teaching and creating an interest in their studies based on individual teaching methods. Good Luck in your Teaching career! Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Master bedroom with tray ceiling
Dear Linh, Thanks for the lastest drawing. I now have a better picture of what you mean. 1. As a general guideline, one has to avoid `posion arrows'. If you notice the inverted tray, check for any sharp corners. These sharp corners at the bottom of the `tray' seems to me like pointing downwards. Hopefully, it is pointed towards any part of the bed. 2. If the corners are rounded, this is acceptable and thus not considered a poision arrow. Yes, if possible this `tray' ceiling arrangement should be avoided if you can. 3. The sides of the `tray' is symbolic of ceiling beams and it is best to sit below this area as it is also considered as having negative qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil 4. The sloping sides of the `tray' ceiling is not auspicious particularly for those who are below it e.g. above a working table or the bed. 5. The height of the ceiling is also another consideration. The higher the ceiling the better it is. Overall, the above are the points to take note when placing furniture with a `tray' ceiling.

Mirrors in Bedroom draining chi?
Dear Tonja, Based on the many cases we have found: 1. Some people are `ok' with having mirrors even in the bedroom i.e. they can sleep comfortably. In such cases and if one do not want to do anything, this is generally acceptable. 2. For others, they may have problems with their sleep or want to avoid having mirrored closets, I have offered a few suggestions in this forum. Some of the suggestions are: 1. You can place posters (stick) them on the closet doors. Usually, this is a `temporary' solution as you may need to replace either the posters or if the stickers drop or sag, you need to `renew' the posters. 2. You can purchase an opaque film or ask a contractor to place such film on the closet door. There are D.I.Y (do it yourself) version where you simply purchase the film, follow the instructions e.g. spray a layer of soap on the film and stick it on the mirror. Then firmly `roll' it on to the glass and squeeze out the soap. Which ever method you use is fine. The reason for not having glass is two-fold: 1. The majority FS practioners `agree' that when we sleep, our `spirit' tends to wonder out of our body and it may get a `shock'. 2. Alternatively, mirrors (ordinary) mirrors are Yin and the mirrors create a too Yin environment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Need help in new home-money difficulties
Hi, To find out what's wrong, if you are able to determine your main entrance door, Please e-mail us privately i.e. to robert-lee@3dmail.com so that we will provide you free credit for Pillars of Destiny and Flying Star Chart. The above reports will help you understand the birth chart of your home. At the meantime, you can also in general generate the free Eight House Chart at www.geomancy-online.com to find out the suitability of the house in relation to yourself or the breadwinner. Here, it is best that the death and disaster intangible force does not flow thru the main door. Also the bedroom should not have the above influence. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

South Sector dangerous months?
Dear Anon, I have not go into detail the exact months based on what you have mentioned. I personally think it is not as important for the following reason: 1. I understand early this year that a book author had spelt doom for many people that they must try to control the South sector in their home. This include asking the autor's readers to place a certain remedy at this particular South location else it spells trouble. The termed is called the bad Five Yellow (where 5 stands for Earth element which is yellow). Personally, I have not heeded this " advise ". The main reason is that this is based on the Flying Star Chart for this lunar year. This Yearly Flying Star Chart is very general. It is thus too general to be applied to every household. The rationale is that the above " Year " Flying Star Chart is not personalised to the household. Contrast this with a Flying Star Chart which has to consider the `exact' direction of your main door and personalised for the breadwinner. Here, this is what a Professional Feng Shui Practioner will use not a `Year' Chart. This is similiar to the Zi Wei Tou Shu or Chinese Astrology where we only generally use the Year Chart only. If you know what a Pillars of destiny chart is, it has at least 3 known Pillars e.g. the Year, Month and Day. If the hour of birth is know, this is better. Similarly, the Flying Star Chart can also be done for the Month, Day, Hour and to a fraction of a minute. Looking at a Year Flying Star Chart is akin to looking with a needle in the haystack to put it in a broad sense. Statistically, if it is applied to a large population, the less the occurence will ever occur to many people. In my personal opinion, it is better to concentrate on more important things in our lives than be governed with this `predicition'. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

New business location has no back door
Hi, 1. To clarify, I am not sure from which source that you had read that under Feng Shui, a building must have a back door. 2. Under Feng Shui for Business; normally, the Flying Star Feng Shui is used to assess the office. 3. Some others do use the concept of `preference' e.g. depending on the business which can usually be classified under an element e.g. for Sales and Marketing, some FS practioners recommend facing South (for the `fire' or vitality of the fire element). For a Bank, to face e.g. the West or North-West (as a bank represents the metal element) and West/North-West belongs to the metal element. In my opinion, para 3 is less important or secondary. In our real world, you cannot possible face all your Bank branch at West or NW position. If your bank has 130 branches where can this be possible? Therefore, fundamentally, you should first consider the site of the business. This should meet Feng Shui requirements. As usual, it should meet conditions of the Four Symbolic Animals e.g. a good frontage for the buiilding etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Why the posted message gets posted next day
Dear Anon, I have discussed this indepth with Robert and we felt that we have a moral obligation to every user participating in this forum to provide you with a truly 100 percent flame free conference. This forum now hosts more than 5,000 members and a large portion of users are participating or `listening' in through the optional mailing list. Another reason is because anyone can immediately create an account and sent one or several mails. These mails previously will be automatically forwarded to the everyone on the mailing lists. It can be a nuisance to users if these are `spam' mails or `hate' mails. If the person choose to remain anonymous, they usually use free accounts such as hotmail etc... Someone can quickly `appear' and `disappear' or do a `hit and run' to this forum. We do not want to see this happen. There will always be one of these black sheep. It is only a matter of days, weeks or months. Frankly, daily prior to moderating the forum, my heart always `thump' when I check messages on the forum. If I reason it properly, why should I continue to `worry' that one or two two irresponsible would sent nasty messages from persons who cannot even properly justify their comments. As an Asian (Chinese); I remembered this story of how the how the Sony walkman was invented. The Inventor of the Sony walkman invented it because of the culture in Japan, the person hearing it would not `disturb' his environment as he is suppose to hear it from his earphone (as "quietly" as possible). This contrasts with some other countries where, it is the opposite i.e. play loud music. Therefore, I hope you understand that my `worry' is not because I am not able to justify what I share the information but my `worry that of imposing on users who trust us enough to subsribe to the mailing list. I cannot deliver only 99.9 percent flame free but as `promised' on this forum's log-in page that it has to be 100 percent. I always remembered the `Sony Story' to this day. Furthermore, we want to concentrate on helping users and not be concerned with unproductive `flame'. It always ends up with counterproductive `heated' exchanges. For example, I have heard `horror' stories of many people who had left other of such forums because of the continous amounts of `flame' exchanges. It then becomes a vicious cycle or a `bad habbit'. In fact, through sheer coincidence, I had prior to the first ever `flame' on this forum (Statistically this makes the forum 99.9 percent flame free), had a private discussion with Glyn. She provided me with sound advise on how to be firm with such `flamers'. I like to thank her for it. On our own, Robert and me, decided on this present method. Therefore, we do not want to waste our server resources and user's time or frustration in receiving unrelated mails such as `spams' or `flames' which can easily be sent out if unchecked. These messages invariably do not contribute to learning and there is always a hidden agenda in the message(s). Normally, we log in every day so, you should receive all verified messages everyday. What is more important is the frequency of answers. We always give top priority to answering all questions usually within one to three days unless it is a weekend or if the question needs more time to look into. We believe everyone will benefit from this as this will prevent any possible misuse of this forum. As I am sure you do not want to receive any topics you have not subscribed to. We hope to continue to provide a quality Feng Shui forum on the Internet for everyone and devote our time to helping many users. We welcome any other suggests that can `guarantee' a 100 percent flame free forum. As the saying goes " Prevention is better than cure ". Thank you for your kind understanding. Warmest Regards, Cecil

'Meat Cleaver' shape bedroom
Dear Geral, Ideally, rooms including bedrooms should be either rectangular or " square " shaped. Sorry, I am not sure what you meant by "Meat Cleaver". Do you mean that the L-shaped represent a `meat cleaver'. If one has an L-shaped room e.g. the living room "joined" to the dining room forming an `L' shape, the best situation is to place a `partition' dividing the rooms into `two rooms'. Similarly if your bedroom is `L' shaped, try to `partition' it e.g using a screen etc.. to create `two square/rectangular' shaped rooms. If your room is `odd' shaped e.g. a circular room, usually one can built cupboards and `change' the room into a square and rectularly shaped. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yin Feng Shui apply to caring for gravesite?
Dear Joe, In general, we should consider Yin Feng Shui as having a different "ruleset". What I mean is that all (or most) books that you purchase are usually based on Yang Feng Shui. Yin rulesets are quite different from Yang Feng Shui. For example, the Feng Shui ruler has a measurement for the living (Yang FS) and a different set of measurement for the dead (Yin FS). In Yin FS, a FS practioner will usually do a FS assessment of the gravesite. For example, he/she will use a Chinese Luopan. Place it in the middle and even use a long string to get the correct measurements to check the alignment on the Chinese Luopan to ensure that he/she get the right ausicious direction for placement of the coffin. In the above, you can see that much care need to be taken not only to find the gravesite but also the placement of the coffin. This is not the end of it. The "horse shoe" grave site need to be constructed including the headstone, decoration etc... based on Yin Feng Shui. It is good to clear the grass surrounding the gravesite. But what is most important is the inital work carried out by the FS practioner. Cleaning etc.. are secondary to this. Warmest Regards, Cecil

What are the best colors for exterior of the home
Hi, Off-hand, it is hard to say what is the best colour for say a building. For a home, the most common colour is `neutral' white if it is the plastered walls. I guess, white is good as it is `better' at deflecting light than dark colours which aborb heats. This also depends on the country you live in. Usually if one is not using white, usualy pastel light shades of colours are acceptable. If one's side of the house is say facing a Yin location e.g. a cemetry, one should try to use a Yang colour to `offset' or neutralise the Yin qi. For a building, if one is using Feng Shui, you may need to consult a Feng Shui consultant to look at the surrouding and recommend a solution. The purpose of looking at the surrounding is to identify the type of buildings which surrounds your building and try to build a building that can "consume" buildings that surrounds yours. For example, if neigbouring building is a `metal building' you can build your building as a `fire building'. Here, your fire (element) building can engulf the `metal building' resulting in the creation of wealth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

More about Clocks under Feng Shui
Clocks are considered `objects' of activity. It is best placed at locations of activity such as near to TV sets or hi-fi. More about clocks: 1. Do not place it above any door. 2. Unless it is used to neutralise poision arrows, you should not place it facing a window or a door. 3. Do not give a clock to a friend. Chinese consider this bad luck. 4. Do not let a clock face a stove. 5. Do not let a clock face a bed. 6. Do not let a clock face an altar. A clock is another `tool' used to deflect sha qi or poison arrow and it does not do good for it to face a bed or a stove. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Safer not to place wind chimes at these locations
Hi Everyone, If you are not sure where to place a wind chime, it is best not to place a metallic wind chime indiscrimately at the following locations: 1. West 2. North-West 3. North-East The reason is because West and North-West belongs to the metal element and are considered Yin locations. For the North-East, this is the devil's gate. This is because the buddhist and Toaist call the spirit of the dead with the sound of bells. You may inadvertently attract the dead with metallic sounds (particuarly if the wave lenght fits that of calling the dead). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Tip of the month
Hi, Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I do hope to share with you tips whenever I can. The fastest way to get tips is to write a short message on a question and you will get an answer almost immediately in this forum most of the time. This is because, if the question is more complex, it may take abit more time to reply. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Why the anonymous feature should not be disabled
Hi, Yes, I totally agree with you for now that the anonymous feature should not be disabled. This forum has a long history. Two years back we were using a rudimentary `third party' forum i.e. using those provided free on the web. I am very happy that since then, I can recall clearly that there is only one flame (arising from " Jerry's nasty remarks '. Other than that, this forum has existed for quite sometime: 1. The members here have grown to at least 5,000 users majority subscribe using a mailing list. 2. Free Advise forum alrady has more than 1210 messages. Thanks to everyone, this Forum continues to be literally `flame free'. This is attributed to everyone who have always written polite messages. I always believe that if one do `flame' there must always be a hidden agenda behind it. The best part is that the truth always prevails. We always believe that whatever we write, we can justify giving our personal reasons. We are here to learn and share our experiences! The anonymous feature will always be available as a " useful " tool of this forum. Cheers! Warmest Regards, Cecil

OK to place a windchime at the tai sui location?
Dear Ken, There are two ways at looking at whether to hang a wind chime: 1. On personal feelings or we usually call this Feng Shui by our personal intuition or using simply our sixth sense. Usually hanging a singular wind chime will normally not have an adverse effect on us. This is because, under the Flying Star Feng Shui there are a total of 24 directions. Some of these are ausipcious for us and some are not. The probability is one to 24 that we can place the wind chime at either a good or bad location. 2. Usually, the only problem with hanging a wind chime at a wrong location is only the effects of having nightwares. This is due to a naughty imp and otherwise, not much of a problem. The problem arises when one hangs more than one wind chime. The result is the person may get a mental illness. The above are the main considerations. Other more professional methods include drawing a Flying Star Chart and analysing the location to see if it is `ok' to place a wind chime at the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

What would be recommended Flying Star Chart for buying a house.
Dear Kenneth, Here, you have to do some homework and do up the Flying Star Charts for both period 7 and period 8 and spent sometime to analyse both periods. If you do not do any major renovations for a period 7 house, it will not become a Period 8 house after the year 2004 (Period 8) i.e. the house remains under Period 7. There are many cases where houses still remain under their "period". For example, there are still many houses which are under Period 6 ie. 1984 to 2003. We do not use Period 7 to do an audit if no major renovations were done for these houses. Warmest Regards, Cecil
