Did someone or something pinch me?
Happy had breakfast of vada soaked in curry when... this happened... Pinched by this loose formica wrapped bench seat Their Compass One 24 Hour branch.... P.S. As of 2023, I believe that this branch is no longer at Compass One. The nearest branch should be at The Seletar Mall.

Consideration: Are vinyl floor tiles safe for residential use? Are there any potential adverse effects to be aware of?
Formaldehyde Gas Another aspect to consider is the presence of Formaldehyde Gas, which can be emitted from manufactured wood products like Plywood, Blockboard, Chipboard, MDF board, and others. These materials are commonly used in various parts of the house such as the living room, dining area, kitchen cabinets, and wardrobes. Symptoms of exposure to Formaldehyde Gas include watery eyes, irritation of the nose and throat, a strong smell, skin irritation, and more. Prolonged exposure to elevated levels of Formaldehyde gas could increase the risk of developing cancer.

Imagine, who could have thought that a modern day wall paper may have an issue. In the past, wall PAPERS are really made with real paper! The only concern is that it should not be painted with lead paint. I could not imagine that today’s wallpapers may be using petrochemical products... Thus today, it should instead be call wall decorative sheets or wallCOVERINGS I stead! yes Anything man made may have volatile organic compounds. Saw this ad, touting it is green! In Summary: 1. It is surprising to think that contemporary wallpaper could encounter problems. 2. It is astonishing to consider that a modern-day wall covering could face issues. I have never actually utilized this. However, it does serve to expose the various potential contaminants present in our environment.

Case Study 8: Should I be concerned with the long (slightly winding) common corridor? Even with a long corridor, good news is that none, yes none of the stacks/units are affected by sha qi from a direct path towards their main entrance door.

Sixteen35 Residences at 16 Lorong 35 Geylang by Oxley Holdings
This small development has a single block of 8 storeys high with a total of 60 residential units. Leasehold 99 years. Expected TOP is under Period 8 Flying Stars Year 2023. A tightly packed (like a sardine can) of stacks/units: P.S. Geylang being a red-light district has a corresponding high number of temples. Lots! A major concern is that many banks are reluctant to give loans to buyers within the Geylang enclave.

Feng Shui suffers a bad reputation, today. Many Feng Shui Masters are a Feng Shui Store. Their core business is not authentic Feng Shui. But rather making big bucks by selling lots of useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. Please give me a good reason not to buy such products. Here's one: Okay, the above was written prior to the knowledge of COV-19. Here’s to another reason, why. Many Feng Shui Masters and their shops are FAKES! On Saturday, 14 March 2020, a WhatsApp from a past client P.S. Frankly, I was just being extremely polite. Actually if one got the hint, as the British always say just throw the "bloody" thing away!

Case Study 6: Common sense of Prevention is better than no cure: the location of the Service Road Entry/Exit 1. In Singapore, we have lots of not only impatient drivers, but also drivers who don't give way even when they are right. 2. Together with a stressful life-style. 3. As a driver, we also need to depend on the planners to do their part in the development of a preventive (accident) environment. 4. What is the planner(s) of HDB Punggol Cove Crown doing when he/she located one of this development's Entry/Exit service road exactly facing each other? 5. Mark my words, one fine day, (touchwood) this may cause a what was a preventable accident. And my feeling is that the primary cause could be one of those PMDs at this intersection. Oh Dear! Just had a flash-vision of it... (Appended by Cecil Lee on 29.11.2019 = PMDs are banned on pathways and this should discourage the use and abuse by driving it at traffic lights junction) 6. Stupidity has no limits. LOL! HDB should get this planner to write 6,000 lines: "In the future, I must not do this again. LOL" 6.1. Hey! HDB, I personally feel that it is still not too late to adjust this Entry/Exit point. Try to right a "wrong, please". 6.2. Alternatively, if you had bought a unit here, may be write-to them? Didn't HDB say that you are a potential Subsidiary Proprietor (SP) kinda-of... even if you are just a leasee...

Sad to say this but many Feng Shui Masters are often a low down Feng Shui Sales-person. You think they are in for the Feng Shui? Yes/No/May be? Their motive is to Sell, sell, sell & make lots of $$$$$. Ask: Must I buy from YOU? Geomancy.net (the oldest Feng Shui Forum) has been spreading this message consistently since Day 1 in 1996. Save your love ones by telling them the truth. The truth never lies.

Many Feng Shui Masters are actually a Salesperson with a Feng Shui Store in disguise. Recognise that their motive is only to Sell, sell, sell and make$$$, make$$$ make$$$! These people gave Feng Shui such a bad reputation. Geomancy.net equally shares your concern! [Below] Instead, why not do this? Ask: Must I buy from YOU?

Case Study 7: Are you a hermit? Huh? What are you talking about? 1. Why are you asking me this? 1.1. Frankly, you are better off being a hermit if considering purchasing a unit here. 1.2. The rationale is that other than the North of this development which consists of existing industry, left, right and bottom of Tampines Green Glen = will sooner or later have lots of construction noise, dusts and heavy vehicles for at least 2 to 3 years. 1.3. No joke! Just look at the Yellow highlights = sites reserved for future high-rise residental + a school. 1.4. To the left of this developement are two plots in green = site reserved for future high-rise industrial development. 1.5. If the constructions all come at the same time.. wow! lots of heavy vehicles, construction noise, dusts and safety issue especially for our loved ones... 1.6. If construction is stagged, equally not good, also. 1.7. Perhaps when every construction is over then.. buy? A re-sale unit? LOL Else be a hermit, don't go out and 24/7 stay put in your unit at Tampines Green Glen.

Case Study 6: Is it inauspicious to have a unit sharing the same wall as the lifts / lift-well? 1. Again, there might be a stigma attached to a unit sharing the same wall as the lift-well + lift. 2. Some Feng Shui Masters also felt that it is a concern and quote the constant "moving-metal". 3. Frankly, a lift-well is often solidly built and well re-inforced to the extend that it can be as strong or even stronger than say each unit's house-hold shelter. 4. Thus, there should not be an issue with a unit especially the living room wall sharing the same wall as the lift-well. 5. On the contrary, a unit attached to the lift-wells should instead be the safest, given that it will be at the strongest structural part of the block. 6. However, as mentioned, this has more to do with a stigma than Feng Shui. And sometimes, when it comes to a re-sale of the unit, a buyer may have doubts of purchasing such a unit. 7. Here, this may be another good reason to, consider skipping the purchase of such a unit. The saying applies: "Better safe, then sorry, right?" 7.1. This perfectly fits our Singapore culture of either Kaisu or Kaisee... characteristics. LOL!

Case Study 5: Badly planned Common Bin chutes x2 Graphic illustration of stacks 149 and 157 and the potential "perfume" smells coming from the common bin chute lobbies.. Erh.. durian (shell)... smell... anyone... How about.. the cleaners.. (some) have a habit of using some heavy duty antiseptic type of cleaning liquid to clean the area. And sometimes, the smell permeates into one's unit. Huh? A prisoner of one's home. Such that "I need to close my windows to avoid THAT SMELL?" Got it, get it? 1. Please see stacks highlighted in YELLOW: 101, 121, 157 and 177 2. Did you notice that the two bin chutes (common and recycle) is next to or very close to the or rather beside the living room windows? 2.1. How's that for good or favourable qi? Yucks! 2.2. Stacks 147 and 149 also share similar characterists just that their two bin chutes are slightly further inwards. Frankly, just as bad. 2.3. Even if it one claim that it may not affect the Feng Shui, given that the area is well managed by Town Council people; still there can be a stigma attached to this. 2.4. Thus often, it may truly affect the re-sale value of the unit! What do you think? 3. If in doubt, these stacks/units should be "your last resort".
