We have purchased the house before reviewing the layout and direction. Is there any remedy to that?
We have purchased the house before reviewing the layout and direction. Is there any remedy to that? Actually, it is very common to purchase a house before reviewing Feng Shui. In fact, majority does it all the time. Most house can easily be optimised or balanced via many of the concepts found, here:- https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/17416-12-habits-of-feng-shui-c-geomancynet/ For example, there is this concept number [3.] The concept of maximising marks. Let me know the type of home and if you are interested in doing a full Feng Shui review. Full comprehensive Feng Shui flow chart:- Sample of the detailed layout report:- Below: Pixelated for confidentiality:-

Sengkang Grand Residences by CapitaLand and CDL at Bangkok MRT
Case Study 3: Should I be concerned with the main entrance open towards an interior wall? 1. There are some persons who felt that it is inauspicious to have the main entrance door opened immediately towards an interior wall. 1.1. Here, even some Feng Shui persons would say that this is symbolic of "meeting with obstacles". 1.2. Should I also be concerned? And avoid such units totally? 2. Frankly, some Feng Shui persons would say that this is a blessing in disguise. As the main entrance door does not open directly towards the balcony. Which is good. 3. Below: As shown below, qi (air-flow) can still easily flow into the home from this main door:- 3.1. Thus this should squell the critics of "the blockage" of qi flow. 3.2. In fact the wall does act as a natural partition bringing in qi towards the interior of the home. 4. This year alone there several developments that had T.O.P. and have similar layouts. For example, below, is from a unit at High Park Residences.... 5. Thus generally, this type of layout plan can still be considered. And not avoided totally.

Case Study 2: 1st Viewpoint - Organic Block design consists of: A Snake, a TRI-spoke and two standalones 1. Not an ordinary architect can come up with the condo layout plan. More of a Right-brain inclined designer of this development. 1.1. Although the block layouts on first glance looks like Chaos. But seems like creative thinking went into the development's design = A plus. 2. I believe that the architect has done a pretty reasonable job in trying to provide the maximum amount of clear space for as many stacks/units. For example, uncommon way of placing three blocks: 72, 74 & 88 in a TRI-spoke or Three-legged arrangement:-

Traditional Sliding Collapsible Grille panels
Again another traditional collapsible gate.. Slightly newer around 1970’s with metal rods encased by hollow cosmetic aluminium tubes... as aluminium does not rust. And can still maintain it's lustre if proper care is taken of it. This grille is around 50 plus years or more.. and at a glance still looks acceptable.

Chin Mee Chin Confectionary
Sometimes difficult to stay afloat even for a doctor's clinic. Ever since Dr Tan’s clinic moved out... another doctor took over. But closed shop less than 6 months of tenancy... Left: former clinic, right former furniture shop: The only survivor is the Long term Katong Catholic Book Centre (KCBC). As it is a few doors away from the Holy Family Church at Katong. Even an antique furniture store to the right of the KCBC also vacated...

Reading between the lines of Sales Brochures
Case Study: Reminder - Check where is the common rubbish bin before signing on the dotted line! For info, am heading down today to the showflat to change a unit at Jadescape, as the entrance of the previous one i selected was next to the common rubbish chutes.

Where should my stove face?
Many Feng Shui Masters are actually a Feng Shui Store in disguise. They are more interested in making $$$$ instead. The major culprit today are those with lineages. They sell them under a nice term like Lifestyle items. Ask: "Must I buy from YOU?"

HDB Three (3) Leaf Main Entrance Grille Gates (Steel or wrought iron ones)
Case Study: Pure common sense and 2 leafs or 3 leafs grille gate? In the past, when HDB doors were not that wheel chair friendly, the early generations grille gates had 2 leafs. As time progress, HDB entrances got larger. As such, recent years HDB adopted three leafs. With the middle leaf the largest. Both to accomodate wheel chairs as well as knowing that some residents are of a larger size or often go shopping marketing and allow easier access. Thus don't you think that this has more to do with pure common sense? And literally nothing to do with Feng Shui. However, I know of especially many HDB Executive flats adopt two leafs. Where one leaf is the largest and the other smaller leaf. Again there is no wrong. As with a proper ratio of the larger leaf, sometimes it's opening may even be larger than a three leaf version. (Frankly, I have not measured such widths. Given that it has no Feng Shui value). In fact, many ECs and Condos often use two leafs as often their main door entrance is as large as 1 metric size, today. Other minor considerations: Not sure, maybe the costs of two leafs is cheaper than a three leaf grille?

HDB Three (3) Leaf Main Entrance Grille Gates (Steel or wrought iron ones)
Many Feng Shui Masters are actually a Feng Shui SHOP in disguise Ask: "Must I buy from YOU?" Their main motive is to SELL & SELL & SELL. Making $$$$ & commissions are the motives... LOL When the buying Stops! The selling Can!

HDB Three (3) Leaf Main Entrance Grille Gates (Steel or wrought iron ones)
1. Frankly, under this area of main entrance external grille gates: Feng Shui does not micro manage such things. 2. This is because unlike say a Household shelter metal door(s); the grille gates are always well ventilated. And it's primary purpose is to act as a deterrent or protection or a delay of forced entry (if any). 3. There are past messages in this forum showing instead that older generation HDB flats especially those belonging to the 1964's to 1979's where the frame and the door opening dimensions are auspicious based on the Feng Shui ruler. 4. Therefore, don't be overly concerned with 2 leaf or 3 leaf gates. 5. Simply just look at oneself and whole family in the mirror first. If one is of a larger size; then the wider the width of the main grille gate the better. That's all.
