This restaurant popularised the yusheng dish in the 1960’s. Today, it is still around but located at Bendemeer.

Enbloc sale for Pearl Bank Apartments has been finalised. Sold to CapitaLand for $728 million. There was a failed attempt in 2015 to gazette this building as it did not meet the 100% target of approval. The apartment block was designed by local architect Tan Cheng Siong. He designed a unique horseshoe shape design with exposed exterior concrete walls know as Brutalist architecture. (A French originated term which simply means “bare concrete”. What is unique with it’s design is the interlocking “cubist” walls where the walls of one’s home never really shares exactly the same wall as a neighbour. Instead, one really do not know which wall is sharing with a second or third neighbour’s walls! The site from 1965 till today.. The only change was that of Outram Primary School ..

In my opinion, often, there are at least two or three major flaws + location, location and location combined to bring down one’s luck. It is anybody’s guess of what are the major issues, here. Since no triage has been done to troubleshoot. For example, I noticed that the staircase is right in the middle of the ground floor: Plus in the above photo; there is also a toilet at the frontage (car garage side). What is not know is whether this area has wealth stars = may or may not be affected by it. In my opinion, all these might or may add up to more “flaws”. Furthermore, this photo seems that this side of the house is blocked by a high wall or neighbour’s house: Thus, things like the above, where your house may be enclosed does not make good Feng Shui. But if we start to stack up flaws especially major one’s then it may drag down the luck. Sorry, this is just a superficial concern since I am in no position to comment fully the extend... how real it may be...

Location of Village Hotel lobby at Katong
The game of Chapteh. A traditional Asian game of keeping a weighted shuttlecock up in the air. Usually this is done by using one’s feet, head and other parts of the body except the hands.

Village Hotel at Katong uses a repetitive square within a circle design. Square represents the earth element. Circle represents metal element. To the layperson, more importantly so long as it looks pleasant; this is good enough! If you look carefully, in fact there is a pencil thin outline of an octagon or Bagua trigram or eight sided shaped design surrounding each motif.
