1. The real concern (if any) is whether one is sleeping near a sewerage pipe. 1.1 For example, (see below), your bed is definitely not sharing the same wall as the WC as shown under marking in purple "X":- 2. If your dorm is on the ground floor; depending on where the sewerage pipe will flow towards an open sewerage system. If the flow is passing through your bed, less then ideal. 2.1 Also less than ideal if the bed is on a upper floor and the sewerage pipe runs like in the photo. Less likely as usually it will flow rom the red circle all the way down towards the ground level. And out sometimes as shown in the red line/arrow or to the opposite direction. 2.2 Just make sure that on a ground floor unit avoid sleeping above a sewerage pipe. This is how it looks like when mature frangipanni trees frequent shed their flowers and leaves. This is why frangipanni trees are often planted over graves. The fragrant flowers would often mask the smell from decaying bodies.

During my 30-month national service or 2 1/2 years, I was stationed at Beach Road Camp for the majority of the time. Case Study: Is there an issue if my unit directly faces the cross on a church's roof? Depending on where the church places a cross. Some churches place it on the tip of their buidling or on the face of their building. There could even be a possibility of such a cross facing a unit at either Block 653B stacks 56 or 58. If so, this is considered inauspicious. In this example: If the above cross is shown as a red marking X, below:- Then it could be at the same level of a specific floor of stack 58, then this is considered inauspicious to face such a "church cross-spine"

The good thing is that the precinct pavilions are out-of-sight of all units. Thus whenever there is a funeral, it will be a "below-the-ground" event. This is not-common but lets see. Hopefully the incense or such burnings would not trigger the smoke detectors. Alternatively, the authorities may just ban such things during a funeral. Frankly, in Singapore, precint pavilions does not hold any "exciting activies" such as concerts, maybe Malay weddings. It is interesting to see what the atmosphere is like during such an event in a basement type enviroment vs on the street level.
