Is it possible to fight a bad year?
1. For sure: if a person's mind is of... "If we buy ornaments or wear something - what do we do with that after the year has passed?" 1.1 This is precisely what the blood sucking greedy Geomancers would love to hear and CON. 1.2 When the buying stops, the selling can! 2. The Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck consists of: 2.1. Heaven or born with (Ba Zi) = 33.33% 2.2. Earth or Feng Shui of home and/or office = 33.33% 2.3. Human or man luck = 33.33% Total = 100% Some don't have fantastic Heaven or Earth luck. But have a good family etc.. Earth luck accounts only 33.33% of one's above total luck...

An alternative is Option 2: "Between the devil and the deep blue sea" legs below beam is not as bad. "Here at most a career as a marathon runner is out... anyway.. there are tons of other careers ... out there" LOL Assumption: Even if the bedside table(s) are too big.. if this is long-term.. consider investing into smaller bed-side table(s). I am sure those Ikea ones won't cost a bomb. Or only use one bedside table. "This time round.. if your boss calls you at night.. say sorry.. I left my phone in the toilet.. - I work 9 to 5"

1. Proposed bed arrangement: 1.1. Provided the bedside table(s) are not fixed to the wall. Even if it is fixed.... still can be removed - right? 1.2. Perhaps considering removing the bedside table as shown. And if still want to keep it. Could consider putting it away or at location marked as "A". 1.3. If the bed is for two: determine who is the "boss" of the home: You or her. If you are the "boss" tell wife: please sleep at the side with the missing bedside table. But if she is the boss; too bad.. 2. If you are sleeping alone on the bed: since it looks like a King or Queen sized bed: I am sure that your width of the body is not much longer than 15 feet plus = width of the Queen sized bed. 2.1 If so, this bed is so big; I am sure that one should not have a problem avoiding sleeping below the beam right? Thus, if one is not sleeping below it... it is no longer a concern. 3. The Desk position looks acceptable given that the couch is so huge and out of place if both are swopped.

Gas Pipe Above Kitchen Entrance
Feng Shui is concerned with something similar to this attachment. And Feng Shui has no precedence with "PEANUTS". Feng Shui does not micro manage every nitty gritty thing in the kitchen. Exposed "yellow" pipes are more of an eye-sore than Fung Sway.

Gas Pipe Above Kitchen Entrance
Frankly Feng Shui does not micro manage or rather, there is no precedence in Feng Shui of managing this area. For example, lets take the purchase of a brand new condominium unit or EC. Here, more often; once T.O.P. when the keys of the unit was handed to us; many of us find the air-con units; more often we find the air-con units directly above bedrooms 2, 3 etc. And on many occasions, we see a hall air-con unit directly along the foyer leading towards the home. What many do not know is that if we were to tap the ceilings near-by to the air-con units; usually these are dry-walls. And little do many also know that three things may even be running across these areas and even the covered passage-way leading into the bedrooms:- The three things are:- 1. The drainage pipes for the condensed water to flow .. yes .. towards the nearest toilet. 2. The copper gas pipe carrying the liquid to coil the coils = which makes the air-cold 3. Electrical wiring carrying electricity towards the air-con units. Even many HDB flats have external trunkings abeit; that these are visible. Here, knowing the above: who dares or can complaint that these items (air-con unit) / pipes and power lines cross above the heads? Under Symbolism in Feng Shui; one can use this clause. And "conceal" example: via trunking or dry-walls and or kitchen cabinets to hide the gas pipe. Common sense says that gas pipes in HDB flats can be run on the exterior for safety reasons. And subsequently kitchen cabinets can be installed to hide it. Why common sense. Many years ago; there were a few incidents where in a certain development; the kitchen cabinet installed; drilled into the wall to fix mountings and inadvertanetly drilled into the gas pipe. Fortunately, for safety reasons, gas containing methane is smelly unlike CO2 which has no smell. Like our 2nd former Prime Minister's wife once said about the salary of a charity: she said "PEANUTS". Why go and dwell with "peanuts".. And as I had mentioned, Feng Shui does not micro-manage such things. Unless, one meets with an obsessively compulsive Mad geomancer who loves also to eat, sleep on peanuts. Got it, get it?

Part 1: Feng Shui of HDB Compassvale Cape - Is my unit still lucky today?
Frankly, I have not plotted this stack. Most geomancers would usually consider East as the frontage. I personally feel that it should also be East. As visually, it could either be E2 or E3. E2/3 actually shares the same Flying Star charts How do you Feng Shui your home? Use your front door? Who are the Conservatives & the Modernist?
-
Triangular land of The Beverly
These are some considerations of Block D: 1. The bigger three bedrooms and a two bedrooms have pool view. And under Flying Star Feng Shui these stacks can be considered as under Flying Stars Period 8: SW1 facing. 2. SW1 stacks from now to 2023 has the auspicious water wealth star #8 at it's frontage. Thus, the swimming pool at the frontage satisfies this condition. Even if Block B etc.. is on it's opposite side. So long as there is sufficient distance creating a "bright hall" effect; this is a plus point. 3. Under SW1 facing stacks, again now to 2023; the mountain star #8 is at the "rear". Thus again meets the Flying Star condition. Another plus point. 4. Current luck is always considered, first. Thus, generally, luck wise for such SW1 stacks are generally good... until 2021.. as from 2021 to 2022 onwards, luck moves to wards Period 9's #9 wealth stars. 5. Thus in 2021... (from 2024 onwards, one may suddenly find.. luck not that good... as the water wealth star as shown in the illustration moves to the "rear" of the unit. If one's main entrance is close to North, could perhaps squeeze out some luck - grille and occassional open the main door.. but in a condo environment; majority slam shut their main doors. 6. At least the mountain star then #9 falls at west, most likely the master bedroom side or the balcony side for some stacks. Although it would be ideal for the water star #9 to be here. But at least, better than nothing. 7. Personally, I dread afternoon homes. Although the afternoon sun is angled... but these homes are "hot-hot-hot".. as in warm.. warm.. warm... Fortunately, there is large shaded overhangs at the frontage.. thus often reduces the heat by a factor of 50% due to the shade .. 8. Eden Grove is only a side road, thus does not impact the side of block / stack at this side of block D. 9. At least, Block D is at the quieter side of the development rather facing Bartley.. road.. side... Note: Block D's facing for now seems to be 216 degrees. Hopefully, it is does not turn out to be exactly at 217.4. As 1.4 degrees off.. and falls under this very inauspicous alignment... How to tell? The only way is by going on-site to confirm the measurements. Often, this tolerance is safe - as in some developments, it is just 0.4 degrees.. Nevertheless..
-
Triangular land of The Beverly
1. In my opinion, Block D has several poison arrows from sharp corners aimed towards Block B. 2. Red arrows (if aimed towards an opening of stacks of Block B are a concern). However, the blue arrows seems okay or no issue. 3. On a sunny day, the pool is constantly bathed by sunlight especially in the afternoon from noon (12 oclock) and even till 4pm. 3.1. If so, there is a higher concentration of evaporate of the pool water. Pool water isn't like natural drinking water. As it has chemicals like chorine etc.. 3.2. Wind blowing towards a narrow "bottle-neck" may cause higher concentrations of evaporated pool water to cluster at the bottle-necks. 3.3. In the past, I had mentioned small condos like Rivervale... 3.4. Here, if everyone else does not open the balcony or windows; and say, this person staying at a ground floor unit - around the bottle-neck area open their balcony or windows and with a young child.. for the first six months.. often the child may get respitary concerns. But fortunately, this is only short-term.

Feng shui help needed( de centurion)
If in doubt, unfortunately, skip it. Since you are aware of such an unfortunate event. And Feng Shui is only about earth luck. Human or man luck is equally important. For example, if one often feels uneasy and continue to "bear this unfortuntate episode" in mind; it would definitely affect a person's Human or man luck. It is truly not wholesome, here.

First Time Open Door Procedure for new or re-sale home
This is not Feng Shui. But rather Chinese customs or traditions of some Chinese dialect groups: Some use this during first time open door; while some do so on move-in date..

HDB East Delta @ Canberra - Which units are lucky? Which have health concerns?
No major issue. I believe the roof-line of the industrial block 1024 is flat so does not pose an issue to a unit at the same level as this roof and or Santarli building. Sungei Simpang Kiri flow towards the sea seems acceptable.

Feng shui help needed( de centurion)
These are some considerations: 1. The mantra: "Location, location and location". A familar expression. 2. Here, Location, location and location is about Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 2.1 Thus what happens if a North unit has better Shapes and Forms over a South unit even if it has better Flying stars? 3. There is no such thing as "ONE SIZE" fits all mentality. 4. Under a Management concept called : "Situational Approach" : It depends! 5. "The forms (Shapes and Forms) prevails over the stars (Flying Stars). And there are many instances there are some North facing stacks/units/homes can have better Feng Shui. As Flying stars account for a measly 25% of the total marks. The bulk of it 70 percent goes to Location, location and location. 5 percent to Eight House concept. 6. The morale of the story is "Not to eat and sleep on Flying Stars alone". 7. Thus one should not blindly use a mother-hood statement and blindly go forth searching on South, south but only south homes.

Feng shui help needed( de centurion)
These are some considerations: 1. You wrote: "Is this considered a good unit?" Frankly, this is beyond this forum. 2. You also wrote: "I am also considering to put my dining table on the balcony but I know is rather bad to put dining table at entrance... need your advice thanks!" 2.1. Many Feng Shui concepts or taboos has more to do with common sense than Feng Shui. 2.2. Whenever I try to understand a situation or senario; I always try to ask myself this question: " In the first place, has it anything to do with common sense?" 3. Placing a dining table on the balcony: 3.1. If the unit is a high floor or for that matter 3rd storey or higher; if one does not install grilles at the balcony; and if one has young children and or visitors e.g. family members or relatives or friends young hyperactive children. 3.1.1 If no grilles were installed, one should not run the risks of such kids climbing onto the chair and table and unfortunately... they are not superman. What happens if they fall off the balcony (with no grilles?) 3.1.2 Many developments especially Condos and ECs have balconies that are facing each other or in close proximity. Again, if one does not have an external blind; and eat at the balcony; and tens of neighbours can see .. often, many don't like to eat so openly. Or some even "had" to wave to their neighbours.. gesturing.. "want to come and eat over?" 3.1.3. From a Feng Shui point of view; even if one has external blinds; one should avoid to draw them down always at the balcony. Unless the balcony happens to face the rubbish bin or a nightmarish mother-in-law's unit. 3.1.4. Besides insects and food getting cold.. is another possibility. 3.1.5. For many Singaporean males who had already completed their reservists.. don't need to do any more reserve training like.... allowing the mosquitoes to feast on one's blood right? 4. Perhaps.. Para 3.1.4 and 3.1.5 is a far fetched ... concern... 5. Why common sense related to AVOIDING placing a dining table at the entrance area? 5.1. I often visit (many) clients homes. Some have the dining table in a prestine condition: where the dining table is clean and clear. 5.2. But many-a-times; I could see a pile of junk on their dining table. For example even the adapters of their older Iphone 4 cables were lying around with piles and piles of "rubbish" strewn on the table. Here, first impressions count: When one has a visitor; the first time they come in is the immediate vicinity. Fine if the dining table is "prestine" clear and clean and neat. But.. 5.3 Looking at the layout plan, there is still a foyer to the home. Therefore, even if one choose to leave the main entrance door open while feasting... is ok. While in some HDB flats where there are some pedestrian traffic.. leaving the main door open .. may mean that while eating food; may glance at a passer-by or a known neighbour : " Do you want to join us?"

Feng Shui of Sims Urban Oasis: - Which units are lucky today?
Personally, would I buy such a unit:? (Please note that this has nothing to do with Feng Shui. But all to do with the concept of "HUMAN or MAN LUCK") "Never! I will not touch it even with a ten foot pole. Free? If free, take it and rent it out..lor" This is because, as I mentioned in my previous thread. My overwhelming concern is that if I had bought such a unit: "Knowing myself, I will often tend to worry as to why I did not purchase a (Normal) unit like everyone else?" As one can see, this has nothing to do with Feng Shui (Earth Luck). But everything to do with HUMAN (Man) luck or personal feel. If I had say bought this unit.. I may have worries about the future resale value ... passing it to family members etc...

Feng Shui of Sims Urban Oasis: - Which units are lucky today?
These are some considerations: 1. In my opinion, I have personally looked at tens of thousands of layout plans in my life-time. And maybe blame it on falling memories.. the most distinct are some of the layout plans of Regent Grove condo at Choa Chu Kang. Even if with a WC, beside the main door there is a solid wall between the WC and the main entrance. 2. The other are some landed properties in the past where the developer had placed a "powder room" (many such powder rooms have a WC). Frankly, there are more of such incidences related to landed property. But your question is not about landed properties. It is about apartments. 3. So far as I can recall, I seldom if ever see any HDB flats that has a toilet next to the front door. And yes, the government (HDB statutory board) had built close to 98% of the total housing in Singapore. And yet, correct me if I am wrong; mostly are kitchens but I can't recall any toilets next to the main entrance of such door. 4. What I am trying to get to is that even if there is no major issues in Feng Shui; BUT under the Holy Trinity of Chinese luck system: 4.1. Heaven luck or born with = Ba Zi = 33.33% 4.2. Earth luck = Feng Shui = 33.33% 4.3 Human or man luck: Feeling good or bad etc.. = 33.33% Total = 100% Here, another consideration is the "Human factor". 5. For example, if today, I say, it is still acceptable under Shapes and Forms provided, the exernal Shapes and Forms are okay and there are few "major leaks" in the home. 5.1. Thus even if this toilet passes under Feng Shui; but if someone has bought this house and STILL in doubt or whenever visitors visit the person would comment : "You know.. it is bad luck to have a toilet at and seen from the main door". 5.2. This Human or man luck = feeling good or bad may eventually bring down the Human Luck factor. And remember it also accounts for 33.33% share of one's total luck. 6. Seriously, as mentioned under Para 1, in my opinion, I have literally seen tens of thousands of layout plans in my life-time and maybe, just maybe such layouts account for a very small percentage of this total. 7. In the future, if someone were to bring in a regular geomancer or a very conservative geomancer to help him/her assess the unit before the potential owner buys it. The odds are that many geomancers will see or use this as a RED Flag. And may even tell the potential buyer.. go find a better unit.

My neighbour is a mini temple.
These are some considerations: 1. Some temples are "clean". While some are not so. How to tell? 1.1. Frankly, for the lay person is difficult. Often, one tool is a Chinese Luopan in the proper hands can differentiate this. 1.2. For a lay person. Usually, even if the temple is not clean; a normal person would normally no be affected by it. 1.3. Unless someone is really "down and out". This is because each of us have a personal aura. And if one's aura is normal or average, there is totally no concern even if the temple is not that clean. 2. Avoid placing bells or wind chimes in a home facing the temple. And avoid having too many antique pieces or rather avoid purchasing any antique pieces in the new home. And try to maintain a "bright environment" in the new home.

Feng Shui of Sims Urban Oasis: - Which units are lucky today?
A typical NW3 Chart looks like. Thus one could superimpose the layout onto it... However, if one has the time; do look at the comments at the centre palace. This is because the coming prosperity star auspicious water star #9 will fall at the centrepoint. And.. do take note that if one wants to keep this unit on or after 2021...2022.. and a salaried worker.. hmm... However, for a SE3 chart, it is not a issue.. As the centrepoint has the mountain star #9 instead. Which is not so affected as this chart.

Note: This illustration does not belong to Sims Oasis. But do take note that stacks at borderline cases need to be confirmed on-site. When one can gain access to do proper readings.

Feng Shui of Sims Urban Oasis: - Which units are lucky today?
These are some considerations: 1. "the opp blk is too near to this and therefore no privacy..." This is subjective. And based on personal and family preferences. 1.1. From a Feng Shui point of view, at least there is a "BRIGHT HALL" effect. As there is a pool between the two "sides": there is sufficient qi at the frontage. 2. Under Flying Star Feng Shui: 2.1. Based on initial compass measurement; refer to attachment. For example Stacks 58, 59 & 62, 63 have compass readings at the frontage of 337 degrees or Flying Star NW3. 2.2. And the corresponding stacks 56, 57, 60 & 61 faces SE3 or 157 degrees. 3. A NW3 sector range between 322.5 degrees to 337.4 degrees. While a N1 sector range between 337.4 degrees to 352.4 degrees. 3.1. An initial reading of 337 degrees is quite "scary" as just 0.4 degrees towards 337.4 degrees and such stacks e.g. 62 and 63 MAY fall into "No man's land". 3.2. Don't like the sound of "No man's land" right? This is because even a Geomancer dread a"touching such a property". 3.3. Hopefully, such stacks stay as 337 degrees or even 336 degrees! 4. Thus the concern of privacy issues pale by comparison if one encounters the above Para 3. senario. Let's hope it is not true.
