Reflections at Keppel' is coming up... er nicely
These are some of the considerations: 1. Why? Not? 2. In a recent forum message; I had mentioned that "tower blocks" or those government housing board "Point-Blocks" have lots of leeway.. for all types of nonsense! 3. The superiority of "tower blocks" often outweigh even any unusual designs.. such as this! 4. For all you know or never know; or aware; perhaps, the layouts may even be inputs by a geomancer... 5. In fact, sometimes it is a blessing in disguise! If every Jane, Jill and Janet and all the Toms, Dicks and Harrys think like you; 6. There will be more choices for those really interested in buying a unit. And with a wider choice; comes the prospect of buying a "better / best unit".. 7. Look at the pre-opening sales / sales to directors and all sorts.. and often when a unit is launched; practically "all the perceived" best units are taken.. 8. Thus, because of the superiority of the "tower block" designs; which can better withstand any nonsense thrown to it; based on this: I would consider - if I need to buy a unit - there, thus why not? But be selective... 9. As in all or most developments: there are excellent units / good ones / average ones and those that as you had menionted.. no geomancer worth his salt would consider buying... it applies to all developments.. not just this one....

Noise as Sha Qi
These are some considerations:- 1. No in theory, Feng Shui does not consider these factors. 2. However, it is the understanding of the Holistic Approach to Feng Shui; that does that. 3. Thus, it need not necessarily be a Geomancer; a DIY person interested in Feng Shui and the common man would "see it". 4. Under the Holistic Approach to Luck; one of the factors that I had mentioned is Human or Man Luck. 5. In general, Human or Man Luck is about feel: feel good or feel bad or positive feelings .... 6. Like I always mentioned in the past and present: Sunlight: This is not directly within the Feng Shui theory; but sunlight is about "UV" light, about heat absorded into a buidling wall / about UV light entering say the bedrooms, living rooms... 6.1 And also about.. heat.. Thus, many can't afford to turn on aircon all the time.. and often a fan does not truly help. 6.2 Thus, if a home is always very warm and uncomfortable, often tempers may flare... etc... 7. Thus noise from a busy road; and even the irritating sound of mrt trains to air-planes.. are all attributed more towards or placed under the category: Human or Man Luck rather than Feng Shui. 8. Other pollution also includes "white pollution" e.g. in some homes, another neighbouring block of flats walls reflect glare into say the bedroom and living room.. sort of thing...

[11.] Chinese Altar: Where should I Place My Altar Table
Overall, if one does not have a Guan Kong figurine, the best choice is MARKING "B". It also depends on factors like what type of God, deity &/or Ancestor? Note: Marking in BLUE "C" should also be considered as last resort or not feasible if one places a real altar table that is around 2 foot length (a real squeeze). However, if it is those "hanging" type with a small foot-print; then maybe, just may be... The best locations are: A or B.

Auspicious Ceiling Height.
These areuseful considerations:- 1. A home even with Quantum Leap in Feng Shui; don't need to be so specific in it's measurements. 2. An average home, even if it's measurements are "perfect" in every "Ruler" way ain't going to help. 2.1. This is similar to a boy racer trying to add modifications to his boy-racing honda civic car! 2.2. If one wants to have the best racing car .. go buy a super-car, please. 3. Don't want to be seen.. participating in and get implied that I am with this everything "Ruler" thing...

Look ... This man is sitting at his desk
- Look ... This man is sitting at his desk
Since you asked a THEORY question; In theory, YES! This person is facing = E A S T....- Business name
These are some of the considerations:- 1. iFeng-Shui is not a "cure-all" or "everything is iFung-Sway" sort of thing. 2. iName selection only iApplies if one wants to iSelect a iMandarin iName. And there are iTraditional iMethods of doing so; 2.1. iMainly, the name should yield good "ratings" under the iFive-Elements iConcept and equally have a real good meaning or good IPhonetic iSound (if iPossible). 3. There is no precedence when selecting a iName other than a iMandarin (iChinese iName). 4. Thus even if you try to select a name like sayiWear ; one day.. when iApple goes into the iClothing iBusiness; they will "take away" that iName. 5. Thus if you are selecting an iEnglish, iFrench, iGerman, iRussian etc.. name.. then iForget about it! Unless, you are selecting a iMandarin iName. If so.. then you may consider iName iSelection. 6. Otherwise, erh.. try your luck at iBabe, iLove ,iComfort! Hahahaha!- What have you done to your house in 2011?
- Auspicious Ceiling Height.
Please refer to my past reply on some of the same subject that you had written. I mentioned: 1 Feng Shui foot = 17 inches or 1 ft 5 inches = approximately 43 cm. You do the maths (conversion).....Yourself... please. Best that you go practice Vasthu, better.- Auspicious Ceiling Height.
Reference quote from: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fanatic ?Synonyms 1. enthusiast, zealot, bigot, hothead, militant. Fanatic, zealot, militant, devotee refer to persons showing more than ordinary support for, adherence to, or interest in a cause, point of view, or activity. Fanatic and zealot both suggest excessive or overweening devotion to a cause or belief. Fanatic further implies unbalanced or obsessive behavior: a wild-eyed fanatic. Zealot, only slightly less unfavorable in implication than fanatic, implies single-minded partisanship: a tireless zealot for tax reform. Militant stresses vigorous, aggressive support for or opposition to a plan or ideal and suggests a combative stance. Devotee is a milder term than any of the foregoing, suggesting enthusiasm but not to the exclusion of other interests or possible points of view: a jazz devotee. SOURCE AND CREDIT: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fanatic- altar location
1. More importantly, the altar should not be located at NE or SW should be correct. While the altar may be located in another sector e.g. South; and because of say the unusual layout plan; the altar may face SW. If can avoid the later, the better. But, it is not as crucial as having the altar located at NE or SW. 2. This is where, if I am not mistaken; many (Indian) Vastu practitioners share the same common agreement with it's (Chinese) counter-parts. 3. For us Chinese; the concern is the NE (Devil's gate) and SW (Devil's backdoor). 4. Thru the many years of my practise and understanding; even Chinese god figurines could even be "possessed" or there were cases where some evil spirits wentinto the figurines. 5. A case study would be the one I had mentioned about the "Haig Road" incident. Where the old owner left two Qi Lins and aDeity figurine. And when the home(apartment) was left vacant for more than 1 year; someone who had died at a near-by wake... went to possess the figurine. 6. Thus if say one has a Guan Yin figurine at SW; it may be a convenient place forthese spirits; at the right spot that sort of thing. Just imagine of the "I dream of Genie" show where the Genie lives inside ahollow bottle...- Next stop - A magnificient temple in Singapore
Further to what I had mentioned; Look carefully at the pictures: The Qi Lin at house number 29 has pristine white teeth.. while the Qi Lin at house number 31 most likely does not brush it's teeth! All black or even "decayed!". Seriously, look closely at the frontage of the two Qi Lin's... one can also say that Qi Lin @29 sees the dentist regularly that is why most likely it has really white porcelain tooth... YEAP!- Bad Work Direction
About working SMART.. not HARD.... and avoiding A.I.D.S. (Acute Income Deficiency Syndrome).. More pay and less (hard) work; please!- Bad Work Direction
Many of those motivational speakers do "wonders" to those who like you: Help those that help yourselves and constantly trying to improve. And if we simply dissect their message; I believe this is it : THING BIG! AND POSITIVE! (The heck or Hell with what others do or say!) Other things like sitting facing a good direction, blah blah blah are "peanuts" or in our common language " Kachang puteh"!- Auspicious measurements.
Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. The key success factor in an excellent or great home is: Location, location and location. 2. Thus, in the past has elaborated on illustrations of : "Quantum Leap" in Feng Shui and even cases of "Entrapped" homes. 3. Of course, if one is kinda of free to look into the interior; this is considered as "Nice-to-do" and not a "Must-do" situation. 4. In the past, I have elaborated on the example of a ship: just imagine one is on a leaking ship. Even if one pathe the entire home in gold; outside the four walls is crumbling... no use. 5. Thus, it is certainly (no quarrels) here; "nice-to" make all the "perfect" measurements inside a home but; if outside the home "It stinks" of rotten Feng Shui; See how much help is the "perfect measurements" going to help - if at all.- Is it inauspicious to be given a pakua mirror?
Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. You can read up my real life experience: "black button" incident 2. If a client specifically requests a Geomancer of his/hers to buy something e.g. a bagua mirror, no issue.- Is it inauspicious to be given a pakua mirror?
1. Yes, in doubt better go with caution on such things. 2. Try to throw it away ASAP. Wrap it up in a newspaper and throw it away. 3. It is nice-to have a Flower bath: Goto this link and follow para 8.2 ; to do a flower bath 3.1 http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=27838&new 3.2 Hope your issues are coincidental.- Auspicious measurements.
Further to what I had mentioned; 1. Feng Shui practitioners today and in the past are practical people. 2. As much as they like; perfection such as yours.. somewhere, somehow; things will never ever become truly perfect.. there will sure be loopholes or problem areas. 3. That is why, when building a home; many geomancers today and in the past; may concentrate on key things not the mother of all peanuts such as width of the stairway ... 4. The key areas are the mouth of the home.. such as the dimensions of the main door and door frame ... 5. Abstract ideas like number of steps. In the Forbidden cities; it is like the number 9 or 9999 rooms in the city etc.. (9 symbolises longevity..sort of thing) 6. Just observe any Master Chef; Chinese or others; they don't bring out a weighing machine or measurement cup and measure exact ingredients to their recipies.. They simply use their on-the spot judgement and create a dish. 7. How often do you see a Master Chef; measure the exact amount of soy sauce or spoonful of chilli etc..? Go think about it...- Bad Work Direction
No worries. The way to look at it from a holistic approach is the "Holy trinity of Luck":- 1. Heaven Luck or born with 2. Earth Luck of home and office 3. Human Luck or personal feel good factors and relationships /support. Each factor only accounts for say 33.33333 percent of all the total luck. As I always mentioned; some don't have fantastic earth luck; but have good positive feelings etc.. this can overcome other factors. Stumbling blocks are: auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling prophecy. In fact, you have regret reading too much of this "directional stuff". Sometimes; not knowing is better than knowing.. the "bad news". If you are not aware of it; I am sure you will go about doing your own "business" and not be too concerned about where you sit and face! Like we say; scold a lamb and it does not understand you.. Bah bah bah bah.. but think "great thoughts" of it and some of us; gets unease.. sort of thing...- Auspicious measurements.
1. Please do a search from the top-left frame of this forum and you can find links like:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-ruler.htm 2. If one is sincerely over crazed by the "Feng Shui ruler" then the most productive method is go buy one. Nowadays, most of the newer ones follows the "correct" one. As in the past; there are lots of variations. 3. A Feng Shui ruler always have two zones: the top most is meant for "craze" people who are still living i.e. For all sorts of good mesaurements for the living such as you wanted i.e. width of staircase etc... and diameter of the room. 4. Most Feng Shui ruler has a lower zone. In the above link the bottom most zone measurements is for the dead. The newer Feng Shui ruler has two zones in the middle. The upper most zone is for the living. While the lower zone is for the dead. 5. The only consideration is that especially for an altar (where the living prays upon and the dead) deities sit on; both the two zones must be auspicious or in the RED. All black zones are inauspicious. 6. Frankly, few in Feng Shui would go to the extreme extend of making every dimensions "perfect" or near perfect e.g. width of staircase, room measurements. Anyway, don't get me wrong.. if one wants to; it is nice to have. 7. For larger dimensions; try to go for multiples of the Feng Shui foot: 17 inches or approximately 43 cm. 8. A 17 inches by 17 inches square = forms two equal triangles = magic square... Go read above link on the Feng Shui ruler. 9. For those who have a "craving" for everything auspicous dimensions; should venture into the Indian art of Vastu. As in India; some Vastu practitioners have like yourself - but they have made buildings with auspicious dimensions. 10. Here, Chinese Feng Shui is more practical. As tell me; how many of us nowadays build their own home. And if so, how many design the specifications for our own home... Hmm... how nice if you are a Chinese and the first... to do us "proud".. hahahahaha...- Bad Work Direction
Please note that you asked : "any workarounds if one cannot face a good direction". I have replied: Bang your head against the wall; also no use. It has nothing with what you said; below. Thus, if one can't face a good direction; you mean you go to one of those Fung Sway shops and go buy some ornaments or a ton of them and litter onto your table. This sort thing.- My house fengshui
These are some of the considerations:- You wrote: 2.2 I found that the only suitable place for us to move the main door is at the north sector, but it would face NE or NW, which are both unauspicious direction. Is there any suggestions? Reply: Shifting the main door is often temporary. Furthermore; one has to take extra care in shifting the door as the wrong angle or degree is not beneficial. You wrote: 2.1 Our house is facing SW, kitchen at S, and toilet at E, Living room NE. I did propose to renovate the house so that it incorporate with the Bazi and the 8 Mansion's auspicous place, but both my parents are against it. Is the a way to Lower the effect? Reply: You have draw a Flying Star chart and analyse it with the above. Any sectors that have imbalance or qi can be enhanced, could help to maximise the luck of the home without renovations. There are some homes that are like unpolished gem. For example, good qi sectors are in the right place. And activating them; can or may do wonders to one's Earth Luck (Feng Shui). However, some homes are like 10 year old : 1,000 cc car; no matter how one tries to squeeze out luck from these homes; or if one wrongly activates; then this may not be too good. Feng Shui is a holistic approach and unfortunately; is only the tip of the iceberg. A proper holistic approach requires say drawing out the various charts; putting on one's thinking cap to find out what can help to improve the home. Thus, if I am not wrong; from the way you wrote; and if you intend to take the D.I.Y. path; there are lots more learning curve that you need to conquer.- Bad Work Direction
1. There is no known cure for this concept:- The Three-Step-Approach 2.However, only lesser men place objects on their table. And this has more to do with psychology ormaking one "feel good" plus making the seller of such product(s) extremely elated and happy. 3. In fact, go bang one's head against the wall - also nouse. 4. These two homes : Number 29 and 31 are related as one Qi Lin sits on one of the pillars of number 29 and the other on 31. These two qi lins (Chi Lins) got to be the darkest and largest on any main gate pillars. Thus the "mother of all qi lins"... Did you notice that House Number 29 also has a smaller tiny golden Qi Lin on the main gate pillar? - Look ... This man is sitting at his desk
