ba zi
1. In real life situations; it is the interaction of the home Feng Shui with one's ba zi element. 2. Thus, most people would normally: "wear" the favourable colours in their HOME. For example, if one has a child, one would "wear" the favourable colours onto the child's bedroom. For example: the colour of the walls, curtains and bedsheets. Or when buying a car, many would also consider the choice of car colours suitable to their ba zi. 3. In many instances, many people don't often seriously wear certain colours - if it is not practical. The sterotyping is that women = red or pink and men = blue. And what happens if the male has a ba zi that favours red colour? Wear red all year round or GO JOIN Ferarri and wear their red uniform? 4. Personally, wearing colours onself is like focusing on peanuts. And not the big picture. In many instances, how to wear the same colour over and over again?Or on the contray get out of wearing that colour. 5.1 In Singapore,Israel where national service for boys (men)is compulsory and majorityend up in the army. How to complain and getaway from wearing GREEN? 5.2 For example, if one isconsidered as a Strong Wood person. Are you able to excuse yourself to your supervisor and tell him/her that green colour is NOT suitable to you. If it is wartime, not only will you get court-marshalled, but also shot-immediately! 5.3 In Singapore, many schools have school uniforms. For example, many Catholic schools use white shirt. And for convent girls: blue dress and white shirt. So blame it on life if the child fares or behaves badly in school. Peanuts, peanuts and more peanuts, please. 6. You wrote: "Or wear red and green for 1st 2daysthenwear yellow forthird day and back to red & green on the forth day and so on?" I say... too free or nothing better to dois'it? Peck Wun W. wrote: Hi Cecil, Thanks for your enlighten. The note by robert mentioned: One must always boost up your favourable elements first, then add in elements which you lack (even if they fall in your unfavourable elements). I am of weak fire and the element I lack is earth. So I have to wear more red and green, to boost up my favourable elements first but how doI know whether is enough andwhen &how do Iadd in elements which I lack next? Do I wear more red and green and then mix with a little of yellow on the same day andeveryday? Or wear red and green for 1st 2daysthenwear yellow forthird day and back to red & green on the forth day and so on? Thanks.

Yes, in theory, for a weak fire person:- 1. Wood is better than fire element. 2. Fire element is acceptable.

ba zi
Further to what I had mentioned, this is a very useful link: an old resource I wrote sometime in 2005 (5 donkey years ago)... http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=3&mid=17396&new= What is L.C.M.? What has Ba zi in common with Flying Star Feng Shui and the Five Elements concept. Under Ba Zi, we can be classified as say Strong Earth or Weak Earth. Under Flying Star Feng Shui: #2 can also be classified as weak earth.. while #5 is classified as strong earth. #6 as strong metal. #7 as weak metal. So, tell me? Why is it so important to classify them into weak or strong?

Apartment with a few Feng Shui issues to clarify
1. Singapore is at the equator (or close to the equator). Thus, the geographical north and magnetic north is very close to each other. 2. All street-directory maps (all over the world) is based on Geographic north. That is when one turns to look at a streetdirectory map, north or zero degrees is directly at the "top". 3. Take this simple example: see attachment. A block of flat is called Block 210 with the facing direction of the block marked. 4. Using a protractor, one can easily determine accurately the facing direction of this block of flat i.e. in this example, the block is facing 330 degrees North. And under Flying Star Feng Shui this direction fits into North-West 3 direction = 330 degrees (which fallsbetween 322.5 to 337.4 degrees).

Apartment with a few Feng Shui issues to clarify
1. In my opinion, your determination of centrepoint or known as "centre of gravity" is pretty accurate. 2. Attached, please find the "fine-tuned" centrepoint which is just one or two feet away from your proposed centrepoint. 3. The rule-of-thumb method of finding the centrepoint is often to match as close as possible protusions vs missing areas by area. See attachment. 4. A crude method is to photo-copy the layout plan. Paste it onto a cardboard. Cut-out the outline. And try to balance the entire cardboard on a piece of nail. The point where the entire cut-out-carboard balances onto the nail is known as the centre-of-gravity. Suspected to be as shown in the attachment.

Red light bulb in 5m 2w 8b flying star
In my opinion, these are two considerations:- 1.1 Even under Flying Star Feng Shui, there is a base #8 at that sector. And under Period 8, #8 is the reigning number does help greaterly. 1.2. Chinese consider red as auspicious (at the altar). On 1.1 alone, in my opinion: "if it ain't broken don't - unfix it". I personally feel - leave it as it is ... no issue.

what element is Odds complier
1. In the past, careers can easily be categorised without hesistation. 2. Nowadays, especially with multi-skills involved, one has to find out what is one's major job function. 3. However, in today's world roughly all occupations could be classifed as under:- 3.1. What industry is it in? 3.1.1 For example: Hospital is considered wood element; IT as water element; Real Estate as earth element etc... 3.2. What is the major job specification? If one is doing sales or marketing than it is fire element. While customer relations is related to earth etc... 4. The above, will show that in today's modern job scope; in general, the industry and job scope are taken into consideration. Thus it is not unusual to link a job with two elements e.g. Someone is working in the current "QC issues" Toyota car company = Metal element. And if he/she is doing sales or marketing than the job function is Fire element. 5. For higher level posts e.g. CEO who is often in-charge of all departments and one of their main functions is to "grow" a company; thus his /her primary role or job scope belongs to the "wood" element.

On selling a home
1. Usually, this often comes under three considerations:- 1.1. Location, location, location It says it all! And especially in the Far East, house numbers like 4, 44 or 444 or 14 etc... while 13 to westerners ... are equally not appealing 1.2. Market pricing & condition of interior layout etc.. 2. Under Feng Shui; Flying Star Feng Shui can be used to where possible activate especially the mountain star #8 = networking luck - to make the home more sellable (other than 1.1 and or 1.2.) Anonymous wrote: Well, I just received a call from the real estate agent about the first buyer that came to my home in July of 2009. He really had some interest before, and he is still searching... Well he is going to come by to see it again.

Tit-for-Tat Feng Shui and Poison Arrow
Majority of the time, as what you had described, this indeed looks like a "tit-for-tat" situation. Furthermore, it is not like your home is so close to the neighbour's home. I can see that you have a large compound. And further the distance between the two homes; the better. And in this case, it looks like both homes are quite a distance apart. Constrast this to many of the pictures of Singapore landed property homes that I had posted. The home is often separated only by a two lane road. In my opinion, there is no major concern for yours or your neighbour's home given that the main door is further "sunken" deeper inwards... For those who still are concerned; (more out of "fear" or restlessness then could / may / would consider a six rod windchime hung above the main entrance. But in my opinion, use this as a sort of last resort- thing. Jo J. wrote: Hi Master Cecil, I came accross one of your old responses to a poison arrow issue dealing with "tit-for-tat" feng shui. The house accross from mine has several pointed roofs, and one is directly pointing at my main door (and is also on top of its main door). However, my house is the same floor plan but flipped so the pointed roof above my front door also directly faces my neighbor's main door and thus directly faces its pointed roof. Is that enough to create a "tit-for-tat" feng shui or do I need to cure the poison arrow? If I do need to cure the poison arrow, how would I go about it? Thanks!

Facing of a condo unit
Facing direction of a condo / home An In-depth understanding of the Frontage of a home. Is it always the main door? Who are the Conservatives & the Modernist. What lead to the Conservatives use of the Main Door only? 1. Who are the Conservatives and the Modernists? 2. An in-depth understanding of why the Conservatives has misunderstood the knowledge passed down by the ancients. For High Rise Compass Reading should be taken from the living room looking out of it. For eg. towards the living room windows or its balcony (if applicable) +++ More In my opinion, it seems that at least 25 to 35 percent of units in many condos have toilets that are either at the centrepoint or close to the centrepoint. Although it is considered as a "leak" (wealth leak); however, in my opinion, a home usually have three or more major leaks for it to be in "deep shit". Furthermore, most of the time there is no such thing as a "perfect - Feng Shui home". Thus some of the key sucessfactors for a Feng Shui friendly home are:- * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks (Relevant to what is mentioned, here) * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept

what element is Odds complier
1. If a person not only compile the odds but analyse the findings and come-up with a trend - then the element is Wood element. 2. If the person is merely a compiler e.g. takes statistics and compile them without any analysis or interpretation then most likely the element is : Water element. 3. If the person complies and publish the information - selling it e.g. as a document / booklet.. then the element is : Fire element (sales - marketing the infor or allow others to adveriste in that publication).

What to Do When Years Ahead are 'Luck Against You
1. It is best to look at this issue based on the concept of the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system:- 1.1 Heaven Luck - what one is born with (and the dreaded "prediction" of Luck for or against a person. 1.2 Earth Luck - Feng Shui of the home and office. 1.3 Human or Man Luck - factors. 2.1 Amongst all the above Three "forms of Holy Trinity of Luck". The Heaven Luck segment has the most number of escape clauses. From things like education, one's surroundings - shaped by family, friends; and some even say things like pilanthropy - doing good etc.. or karma sort of thing. 2.2 Under Heaven Luck also one must never fall under : auto-suggestion and self-fullfilling prophecy. 3. Earth Luck is equally important as in many instances, even if one does not have a good Heaven Luck chart (ba zi chart is not good) or during a certain period.. may be considered as luck against the person - But if one has relatively acceptable Earth Luck (Feng Shui) all the concerns under Heaven Luck can easily be negated or over-whelmed - given a boost from one's earth Luck. 4. What happens if one has no good Heaven Luck nor Earth luck? 5. It is not the end of the story. Things like "blood is thicker than water" and relationships: For example, many people don't have fantastic ba zi luck nor even earth luck.. but has good family bonding etc... Good family bonding and SUPPORT can transend over all those negative issues ..... Facing of a condo unit
1. Frankly, there are so many view-points even amongst Geomancers with regards to the facing direction. 2. Thus, one has to expect different views. 3. From what I understand, majority of Geomancers concensus is that of the facing direction is where there is the most "yang" qi or brightness. Usually a row of "openings" be it the balconcy extending towards various windows of say bedroom 3, and master bedroom etc.. 4. It also depends on personal "style". In many cases of condo living; in my opinion 80 percent don't leave their door open - most of the time. If so, this part of the home (close-by to the the kitchen) may be considered as the back of the home. 5. If you constantly (visualise) that you intend to open the main entrance to the condo - frequently (most of the time whilst at home) then, it is possible that this may / could be the facing direction. Else; most of the time it should be the stack "facing" could be considered. 6. For some homes it is relatively easy if the stack is facing - sitting or vice versa North-to-South and the main entrance door is e.g. at South while the balcony is at North. In both cases, it will be an East group apartment. Just that one has to decide which opening(s)- facing is more beneifical and often allow qi to come in thru those areas. 7. For a penthouse, usually,it should be the facingdirection of that specific stack - i.e. where the most yang qi be it light coming thru the window / balcony or PESand/or openings (balconysliding glass or windows). In my opinion, majority of the time; Flying Star calculationstaking into consideration the most yang qi direction - is often very accurate - in majority of the cases vs just an "opening" at the main doorand/or the secondary fire escape door - often linked to the kitchen.

Resorts World Sentosa auspicious hour
Casanova W. wrote: Any idea why Resorts World sentosa will be open on 14 Feb 2010 at 12.18pm. Was it really a auspicious hour or just because of Cantonese saying "striking prosperity" which would bring good luck. Yes, you are absolutely correct! It has to do with the phonetic sound like "Cantonese word". Usually .18 or even .19 or .38 or 39 is chosen after the suitable time of the"Boss" has been choosen. For example; his best time on that day is between 11am to 1pm. For first-time open door procedure(s); usually .38 or .39 is preferred. As 3 in mandarin means UP and "mountain". And the "8" prosperity and "9" mandarin for longevity. Many in Singapore bid for either low numbers or nice sounding car number plates.

Great Frangipani, Temple Tree
Scientific name of this tree is: Plumeria obtusa. It belongs to the Apocynaceae family. And it is commonly called the Great Frangipani or temple tree and the Singapore Plumeria. This tree originates in Tropical America. It loves sunlight and moderate watering - very suitable to Singapore's climate. The most common colours are: White with yellowish centre and pinkish outline with whitish centre. It was very popular in Singapore during the 1930's to 1960's especially where landed property homes had larger gardens. And can afford to plant several trees in a larger garden. It is relatively easy or near maintenace free and it flowers all year round especially with the help with the bees... Nowadays, where many Singapore homes are more compact and fewer high class bungalows; this is coming to a rare sight indeed.

Coffee or Tea? Both? No problem!
Dear GOD, What do you like to have: Coffee or English Tea? Both? Or even several cups ofChinese tea. For you, no problem! We will make it for you! This is perhaps repeated every morning in many Kopitams (Non-airconditioned coffee shops) each day. In many coffee shops; an offering of 5 oranges are also offered with the coffee or tea! Why 5 oranges? This has to do with the Cantonese custom of "praying" to the 5 spirits: of the North, South, East, West and Centre spirit or "5-Ghosts".
