Lehman Brothers and Feng Shui, Bankruptcy
Tell me! What has Feng Shui to do with Lehman Brother's bankruptcy? How come some Feng Shui practitioners use Feng Shui to create complicated sound like "Lehman Brother's derivative products?" It should not be so complicated!

[3.] Chinese Altar: Altar Dimensions combined with an Ancestor Altar. What to look out for?
These are some considerations: 1. A traditional altar arrangement. 1.1. This is a typical set-up where there is (a.) a Deity (e.g. Goddess of Mercy) (b.) a Ancestor tablet. 1.2. What makes this altar table unique is that when standing facing the altar, the Deity must always be on the Right and the table raised at his area. 1.3. The ancestor tablet sits on the left and slightly lower. 2. What are the altar dimensions? 2.1. Standard height for any altar: 125cm to 128cm. If a piece of glass is to be placed on the altar, then go for 125cm. 2.2. Width depends on your needs: 18cm to 23cm or 40cm to 43cm or 59.5cm to 69cm 2.3. Length: 41cm to 43cm or 59.5cm to 69cm or 71cm or 89cm or 107cm or 148cm 3. What if I am buying an off-the-shelf commercially made altar. Do I need to look out for anything? 3.1. Majority of those off-the-shelf altar cabinets should already have proper altar dimensions. 3.2. Thus, just buy one and use it.

Moving In a New House
1. More importantly, the "owners" or "breadwinners" or subsidary tenants or anyone who are suppose to move-in should SLEEP from that day onwards. Is generally considered as having moved-in. 2. In real life situations, some people may bring in their gods a few days earlier. An example is that they had an opportunity to bring in their gods on very good days such as every 15th lunar month or every 1st day of every lunar month. These days are always good days to bring in the gods. 3. Often, we should not bring in the GODs too early. What is too early? For example, one month before we actually moved-in. Thus in general, one may consider bringing in a god earliest should be around 1 week before we move-in. For those who have an existing god in a home and planning to move-in. 4. What happens if we bring in the god too early? One can still bring in the god earlier. But, one should make an effort to go to the new home every day to offer "prayers" or if one lights up "joss sticks" etc... 5. One can still bring in all the furnitures a few days earlier. And on the actual day, "invite" the god to one's home. Here, the altar at the new home should be set up. And prior to bringing the god, simply say " We are bringing you now to our new home at e.g. Blk 111 Jalan Bukit Merah #01-11". And when we reach the ground floor, we should say that "we have arrived at our new location and will be bringing you up to Blk 111 Jalan..... ". 6. Please take note that for those who are 'inviting gods" to their home, there is no hard and fast rule. Simply, often it is based commonsense! For example, no God would be angry if we may have to bring them in earlier for one reason or the other! For example, we have no choice but to vacate our home earlier. 7. For those who wish to bring in a new god; should consider moving in first. Especially for those bringing in "Goddess of mercy" or Quan Yin should try to bring "her" in especially on any one of the 15th lunar day of a month or the 1st lunar day of a month. As these are full moon and considered the most auspicious days. 8. In general, when selecting a figurine:- White or Gold covered figurines = usually suited to those who ba zi is weak water element and weak metal elements, strong fire, strong earth, strong wood element. Wooden figurines = weak wood element, strong metal element, strong water element, weak fire element, strong earth.

How To Move In To A New House
1. If you are refering to common Chinese practises on move-in, then you can view this link:- http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Move_In_Procedures 2. Usually, one can still move-in to a home that is not 100% furnished. This depends on the interpretation of "furnished". If especially the stove is not in the home before move in, then it is best that the stove is properly installed in a home. If you mean not 100% furnished: for example, if the sofa seat is not in or your super 50 inch tv is not in, these items are of no major concern. Thus, it depends on what is meant by "furnished". 3. Traditionally, on the day of the "move-in", one SHOULD be sleeping in a home. If one does not stay in the home, then, symbolically, one MAY place a set of "sleep" clothings on each side of the bed. If not, it is not considered as "moved-in". 4. In modern times, one can still not move in, yet, purchase lots of "furnishings". For example, buying and bringing in a new fridge, washing machine, dining table etc... 5. 1 Most of the first-time open door procedures and move-in have one MAJOR theme: symbolic of placing wealth into a new home. .5.2 Thus, the procedures that I had prepared, took into consideration the major dialect groups: In Singapore it has to be: the Hokkiens, Teochews, Cantonese and Hakka. 5.3 And if one looks at all the procedures the common denomination is still : Placing wealth into a home. 5.4 Thus, it is basic that one can add or subtract some or all the procedures since they are non-religious in nature. You asked: "When i move in officially at a later date, do i need to choose an auspicious date as well?" 6. Generally, once one has done a move-in procedure, the question asked is how many move-in procedures can there be? A pre-move-in, a move-in or a after-move-in. You think about it. 1) What do i do whenmoving in to a new house on a auspicious date? 2) i can move in while the house is not 100% furnished or set up (just some minor touch up left)? 2) Can i move in SYMBOLICALLY?ie: just move in SOME of my belongings but do not stay in until a later date? When i move in officially at a later date, do i need to choose an auspicious date as well? Appreciate your earliest advise. Appreciate it very much. Keep up your

Career for a weak wood person
1. It is good that you have observed that your daughter has "better" left brain skills (logical, mathematical...) than right brain (intuitive, subjective, spatial) skills. 2. In theory, better careers based purely on Ba zi for a weak wood person are careers in the water industry and wood industry. 3. Accountancy belongs to or is considered as a "metal" element career. Thus strickly based on ba zi to define a career, a weak wood person should be "surrounded" by water. As water supports wood. Only then can "metal" destroy (weak wood + water). 4. In my opinion, as parents, it is good to know but, I believe, you will also leave it to your daughter to pursue anything under the sun that she "likes" or has an opportunity to go into! Yes? Anonymous wrote: Hi Masters According to my daughter's bazhi, she is a weak wood person. She excels in her maths subjects more than the other subjects. should renovation change the year
1. Please refer to my most recent comments under this topic: Identify Period Of House Posted in: Earth Luck :: Flying Star (Xuan Kong) House Posted on: Sun, 02 Nov 2008, 21:46 PM, 2. The above message highlights two major Arguments and my comment is that if necessary, one may need to consider drawing several Flying Star charts for such a home. Frankly, this is the most sensible approach which is adopted by many competent practitioners.

Identify Period of House
1. Many professional Feng Shui practitioners would strongly suggest that one draw at least two Flying Star charts for such a home. 2. As this subject of how easy to change a house's birth chart can be disputed both ways:- Argument 1: Some practitioners insist that do or die, only when the foundations are changed, then the house Feng Shui may change! Argument 2: One of the activities such as living it empty and re-occupying the home, in addition to giving it a fresh coat of paint. And removing the roof, and changing the main doors etc... Under argument 2, it is frankly difficult to say for sure what consititues a "thorough" change of a home's birth chart. As some say, just re-occupy it after it is empty. Others say, major renovations etc... 3. Thus, I still feel that the most sensible approach is as mentioned under Para 1 to draw at least two flying star charts and check the "history" if possible of the home. Quote: Anonymous wrote: My house was built in 1898 and the previous owner died in 2002 and left the house empty until we moved in in 2004. Is the period still 2 or does it change to 8 when we occupied the house after it was empty for over one year?

Improving Love Life
Frankly, it is strongly recommended that one does not apply "Fast Food Feng Shui!" Quote: Anonymous wrote: I have been unfortunate in the romance and love area for a few years now. I am wondering what are some of the best feng shui colours, object placements, etc would be for the bedroom. Or if there are particular things or colours I should be wearing. I've heard placing lots of pinks/reds/purples (colours of romance) and items in pairs in the bedroom would help. Looking at the above, I am pretty worried that you may not be able to (on your own) given that you are trying to apply some sort of Feng Shui. Often, such Feng Shui is akin to a dog circling itself trying to bite off it's tail! In my opinion, if you still want to apply proper Feng Shui, either, spent more time and effort to activately have an uphill task of learning, understanding Feng Shui. Or, check around for a comptent Feng Shui practitioner to do a proper assessment and guidelines for you. The saying "A little knowlege is a danagerious thing!"

friend grandma passed away and my auntie also...
Frankly, this is the first time, such a simple question has turned into more than 12 threads! Use your common sense, for below:- Quote: Sorry, can I ask she came to my house why shld she do the flower bathe instead of me? If she is a Christian, then don't follow the procedures. So simple! Chirstians always belief in GOD not in anything else! Please use your commonsense, please and this will be my last message on this subject! Goodness, me! MY GOD!

Vehicle Color
In my opinion, in addition GREY colour is suprising less striking as "jet black" colour and may be difficult to spot in twilight hours, also.

Vehicle Color
1. One can always use the free repot (Eight House/ Ba Zi Element) at this url:- http://freereport.geomancy.net 2. Usually if you want to chose the car colour(s) best to find out the most suitable colour(s) of the driver. If you want to include the occupants e.g. wife, children, then you have to cross your finger to see if their colours match yours or is a binding colour. 3. It is not possible to have a multi-coloured car e.g. bonnet red, car doors green, roof = black, bumpers blue. etc... 4. Several insurance studies have in general, found that the two most "dangerous" colours that have higher rates of accidents are:- 4.1 REDcolour As most likely, one may be distracted by all red car colour and may not be as attentive to the tail lights that are equally red for braking etc.. 4.2 GREY colour Especially so for temperate countires. Where some believe that the car colour quite match the tone of the road. And in foggy weather, it makes it worse to spot such a car - in- time! 5. Binding element As mentioned under Para 2, above, only sometimes, the binding element may match a couple e.g. the driver and his wife! For example, if the wife is a weak water person. and the husband is say a weak metal person. Then metallic color is the binding element for both of them: metal supports a weak metal person. And metal also supports a weak water person.

Yes, of course, it would be "nice" or "best" that she does not come to your home within 100 days. But, if she already has done so, then as what I had mentioned and you have also just mentioned, below. Quote: I can just ask her to do the flower bathe

My new apartment is right above the garage... help
1. Feng Shui encompasses various aspects. The topic you mentioned below falls under the category referred to as the "Commonsense Approach" to Feng Shui. 2. The reason some individuals assert that what you mentioned is "NO" good stems from the "concern" that, in the unlikely event that one or more of the three cars were to catch fire, the rising flames could pose a "death" threat to those residing or sleeping above this area. 3. This is akin to the common belief that having a bedroom situated above a kitchen is undesirable. The same reasoning applies here, as the likelihood of a fire occurring in a kitchen is greater than in other areas of the home. In such cases, fire and smoke tend to rise. 4. Therefore, in your situation, it would be prudent to ensure that no flammable items are stored in the "garage" and that the garage area is not cluttered with newspapers or other materials. 5. It would be advisable to have a smoke/fire detector installed in the garage today. 6. Consequently, this entire "picture" is simply referred to as "Commonsense" Feng Shui, which reflects the concerns of certain individuals. 7. Instead of resorting to "silly" remedies like placing six coins, it would be more beneficial to invest in smoke alarms or even sprinklers in the garage area, ensuring they are "working" and well-maintained. 8. Additionally, it is always wise to have fire extinguishers available both in the garage and upstairs in your unit. Ensure that your windows are equipped with grilles that can be opened or broken in case of an emergency. 9. Thus, this encapsulates the concerns related to Feng Shui and the commonsense approach to safety. Any other concerns are unfounded. Anonymous wrote: I've recently moved into an apartment that sits directly above a 3-car parking space. I'm quite new to the idea of feng shui, but I've read and been told that having your living space/bedroom right above a garage is extremely bad feng shui and bad for the people living there.

Please check my previous reply. Have already mentioned what to do - if she goes to your home. For example the red string and the lime leaf. And she can also flower bathe anytime afterwards. This is not "rocket science" we are talking about. Please check my previous message again. There is certainly no misunderstanding, here. Just that you did not properly read my pervious reply (full stop).

1. You should give her a red string and ask her to throw away, later. 2. She should buy a few pieces of "lime leaves" and placed in her pocket. After attending the wake, she should throw it away before shegoes backinto her home (before entering the door). Note: the lime leaves - is a fragrant leaf . Malay call it : " Lima purut " (not exact spelling).
