  1. Guess where is my house? No idea? Really, no idea? Who says my home sticks out like a sore thumb? On the contrary my home is a rose amongst all the thorns! Cheers!
  2. Case Study: Can or Cannot Buy is serious business. Literally for every development there are A to Z considerations! And involves all major disciplines of Feng Shui: Shapes and Forms (Location, location, location) / Poison arrows, Flying Stars, Eight House etc... A Sample of By Ranking Exercise of 4 bedrooms flats at Fernvale Dew:- A = Afternoon sun.. K = Kitchen at inauspicious NW Z = Purchaser insists on a morning sun unit. This is tagged and identified clear... Can I help you in your house selection?
  3. Can Feng Shui help? Yes! 阳宅三要 or Yang Zhai San Yao The three major considerations in a home: Main Door or Frontage, the Kitchen & Bedroom Above: Eight House with Ba Zi Feng Shui
  4. Part 7 - Plot C is the preferred choice! However between Punggol Point Woods vs Punggol Point Cove: Overall "Cove" is preferred over "Woods". What a waste Plot C is definitely the TOP choice = if available. Punggol Point Cove stacks/units facing the sea (in blue stripes) are the best choice. (Other then consideration of avoiding units close to the potential Chinese temple). Huh? Aim for site C! Instead... but Sir! Not ready yet....
  5. Part 6 - For now Punggol Point Cove stacks/units facing the sea (in blue stripes) are the best choice. Can I buy a unit at site C? Facing North, NE and East?
  6. Case Study 8: Both companies are very commercialised no matter wht they say. "But u see both companies are very commercialised no matter what they say. But i saw ur review for Blossom Spring and hence i thought it would be good for you to do an independent review."
  7. You recently wrote something similar to this: In modern times thus is old school thinking. Nice-to have. But not a must have, today. Many Singapore Home’s now have flat roofs. What is more important is Location, location & location. Morale of the story: A roof does not make or break a home. There are more to it ..
  8. Part 4 - Metal roofing Of course glass looks classy..
  9. Part 3 - Can also be found on the roofs of landed properties. I am sure, these metallic roofs should have the same properties as your new home’s roofing.. definitely should also have insulation:- This is the 1960’s onwards slide together “noisy” aluminium awnings.. noisy if raining... Thus in my opinion, your concerns is about: 1. Not common in Malaysia especially it may look cheap with “bricks” holding the panels down. But no choice as these panels are light weight. The architects in Malaysia should have packaged it nicer... 2. But from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, not really an issue. 3. Nothing unfavourable.. as most of the materials have a Matt finished. Lighter thus less load (but for Para 1 - concern, that’s all. 4. Your country’s roofing for many years used to use clay tiles in various colours. The most popular being orange tiles. That’s all. 5. Frankly you got to get used to it. 6. In Singapore, last few years the popular colour of metallic roof colour is in my opinion GREY. Several years back GREY still popular with some using GREEN. Copper (brownish) is less popular in Singapore. Although Maroon is more popular than Green. 7. Unless both semi-D's change to identical or mirror image of each other.. else in my opinion, don't change yours. Other neighbours should not be your problem at all.
  10. Part 2 - Majority of metallic roofs often with spaced ridges are common on private apartments:
  11. An earlier variant where the only curved portion is the 5-Room Improved (Point Block) half-moon shaped balcony. Location Sin Min Avenue. TOP in 2002.
  12. Did you manage to see the openings in the shape of T’s? The building is built in the 1960s. Location: Along Still Road. Next to the National Service Police Reservist Centre
  13. https://www.pdpc.gov.sg/-/media/Files/PDPC/PDF-Files/Resource-for-Individuals/Protect-Your-NRIC-Number---English-(310818).PDF
  14. Part 1 - Sorry I am rushing .. working on an urgent review. In the meantime.... In the past a aluminium pieces were interlocked together .. 1950’s to 1970’s... but hell a lot of noise ... raining. From what I understand the DuPont two-ply .. was banned in SGP ... correct me if I am wrong as it is a hazard in a fire. As the acrylic can become molten ... like droplets.. can cause third degree burns or something like that. They even came in blue. (White was the most popular and greenish) In SGP, you will be surprised that since 5 years ago, many private apartments: often with 25 to 55 unit’s often use similar materials as you have described. Or something close to it. Correct me if I am wrong. These materials were and are used especially on the penthouse 5th storey roofings. And can be formed semi-circular or geometric patterns. And last year, a client was shown samples of various colours ... grey.. copper ... etc.. but may not be the many layers- type you had described earlier...
  15. Part 5 - Do you have some time to spare? If so, please check out; In the above link, go read up Part 3 - Temple.. and Part 6 - Devil’s Gate and Altar. This is because the future temple may share same orientation. And this development equally has unit’s facing NE.
  16. Part 6 - Case Study: I intend to install an altar (for e.g. Guan Yin) in my future home in my unit at HDB Melody Spring. Is there any concern for this? These are some considerations: 1. I prepared a Flying Star chart specifically showing stacks/units facing NE1. 1.1 Does not matter the Flying Star Period though. It can be a Flying Star Chart in Period 6, 7, 8 and 9 etc...or NE1, NE2 or NE3 facing. So long is an North-East facing unit:- 2. As one can see from the above chart, there are many stacks/units especially 4 bedrooms and 5 bedrooms with frontage facing NE1. 3. Under Chinese Feng Shui and including Indian Vastu principles. First and foremost, there is a concern if an altar is ALIGNED NE to SW. 3.1. It has to do with resource from this link:- https://www.geomancy.net/content/feng-shui-resources/feng-shui-articles/you-and-your-home/devil-s-gate 3.2. Extract of Para 1 to 3 from the above geomancy.net resource:- 3.3. Where under Para 3: The North-East is represented by the trigram KEN. WHich stands for the youngest son. 3.4 The `youngest' son (even in real life - one does not have a youngest son is not relevant, here) is considered the `weakest' of the 8 trigram and thus fall prey to `evil influence'. 3.5 Thus this is one consideration if a potential owner in this development wants to install an altar ESPECIALLY sitting SW facing NE. 4. Don't blindly install an altar in this configuration. As some can, some some may not be able to "withstand" this kind of situation. FAQS:- 5. How about if my unit faces SW and sitting at NE. For example like stacks 34 and 36. Best to also check first before installing an altar. 6. Does this apply also to other developments? Or just HDB Melody Spring. 6.1 Yes, this is generally univeral. And can apply to any other developments. Just that this is a good example, given that quite alot of stacks/units face NE or SW directions. 6.2 NE1 facing primarly faces 30 degrees. Also involves NE2/NE3 or virtually all NE facing stacks, as an example. Thus not just NE1 facing stacks only.
