  4. Basement Singtel No Service
  5. Might as well move out temporarily. If so, less of an issue, here.
  6. Foo Chow Methodist Church & it’s history Location: Race Course Road +++ Thereafter, the congregation relocated to the Anglo-Chinese School along Coleman Street and again to the Tamil Methodist Church at Short Street, before ending up at a gospel hall along Queen Street in the earty 1930s, where they were taught to read and sing. By 1936, the pressing need for a proper church of their own led Reverend Dr Chen Su Lan, a lay preacher, and other church members to raise the funds to purchase a house along Race Course Road for use as a church. When works were completed in 1938, an architecturally unique building was added to the district, featuring columns designed in the classical style with high vents and round windows. The church was damaged during World War II when a shell exploded on the north-western corner of the building. In 1947, during the repairs to the church, its front was completely rebuilt. In 1950, the back of the church was rebuilt to match its front, in 1994, the church extended its premises by building a link to an adjoining three-storey block, which it acquired in 1987 to start its Christian Education Centre. Today the church runs a kindergarten, as wel as various social welfare programmes. Foochow Methodist Church, c. 1977 Courtesy of Foochow Methodist Church

  8. Kandang Kerbau Market History. Today it is renamed Tekka Market Tekka Market, also known as Kandang Kerbau Market, was built in 1915 and became a well-known marketplace for fresh cut meat. The name, Kandang Kerbau, made reference to the surrounding cattle trade and means "buffalo enclosure" in Malay. The Chinese called it tek kah because of the wild bamboo found in the area. The original market was located across Serangoon Road, opposite the present site. Tekka Market was popular amongst all communities and known as the "people's market". It gained a reputation for its varied and reasonably priced fresh vegetables, meat and seafood. During the redevelopment of ".e Serangoon area in the early 1980s, the market was demolished and most stalholders were relocated to the present site, which was renamed as Zhujiao Market, a Chinese transliteration of "Tekka". In 2000, the market was renamed Tekka Centre to better reflect the history of the place after public feedback that Zhujiao bore little resemblance to its former name. In the past, many Singaporeans were also born at the nearby Kandang Kerbau Hospital. TODAY, it is the HQ of LTA.
  9. False sense of security...as the rider only secured the front wheel. Someone could easily unbolt the front wheel, leave it intact and cart away the rest of the bicycle. Imagine if this is a high end bicycle.
  10. Sample centrepoint. Can follow these examples. Frankly, with the centrepoint, and since all stacks in this development are either NW3 =335 degrees or SE3 = 155 degrees, get a protractor and plot it out. If really cannot, get a family member to do it - if one is very poor in this cognitive area. This area is not Feng Shui. In fact, more to do with common sense. Stack 16 is here:- Actual reviews by ranking will most likely not be released in the forum in the future. This is just one small section of a detailed Can or cannot buy review:-
  11. Case Study: Can the site plan of Stirling Residences be relied upon to prepare the Flying Star Feng Shui charts? 1. The expected date of TOP is in 2022. Thus this development is under Period 8. 2. Based on the Sales brochure, the development either have stacks/unit facing NW3 or SE3. 3. I made a comparison using streetdirectory.com and found that the compass readings were 335 degrees and 155 degrees respectively. 3.1. The good news is that there is just a 2 degrees difference between the Sales brochure's North compass reading with the street directory. 3.2. Good news is that both are consistent with Period 8 Flying Stars NW3 and SE3 facing.
  12. Good news is that there seems to be a ready demand for the wooden rice bins. This is the rationale for so many shops selling them in SGP nowadays. Please note that I do not actively monitor their availability. Thus more likely than not for older posts; not sure if they are still available or not. Thus don’t be disappointed if you go there and the shop(s) no longer sell them!
  13. Nowadays, don’t seem to see letter box digital locks in many newly T.O.P. Developments. Perhaps a passing fad?
  14. For Block 596, the previous streetdirectory.com readings was 5 degrees N2 or 185 degrees S2. I took the onemap.sg and got a reading of 4 degrees (still) N2 and 184 degrees = S2 degrees. Thus there is only a small 1 degree variation from the above. Thus the Flying Star Facing is no change.
  15. Understand one’s Ba zi or Heaven Luck:
  16. Congrats! Residential Just T.O.P.
  17. Case Study: Why you answered this question by hxy 1023 .. so detailed and not mine = ausbee? Even when I posted it the same day but earlier? The posting (see below) taps on a pool of existing knowledge and experience. I simply type away on the keyboard....and PRESTO! The reply! The difference is that for the later question: "I do not need to do it for you". That's why.
  18. You question revolves upon Man or Human Luck. Less to do with Feng Shui
  19. Case Study: Do you think this question will ever be answered in this format? 1. This forum is a catalyst & about creating awareness of what to look out for. 2. Your Question should instead be: "I plotted the compass directions (please see attached) onto the layouts of stacks 11, 2, 14, 16. Are the kitchens at NW?" 3. Hope you understand that this is not a "I do it for you forum".LOL-:)
  20. These are some considerations: 1. Feng Shui is about the Earth luck of a person or family. Earth luck is Feng Shui of the home and office for a working adult. 2. You wrote: "As it's mainly facing the living room of the house & the stadium field light also shining towards the house during the evening." 3. You are half correct or nearly there. This has more to do with "pollution" or "white noise". 3.1. White noise or the glare from the stadium light shining towards the house meaning usually this is the living room and in many other instances the living room and bedrooms. 3.2. Here, it affects another kind of luck: " Human or Man Luck!" That affects the person and family. Not so much of "Earth Luck = Feng Shui". 3.3. I don't think that the stadium lights are suppose to be turned on every night. (Correct me if I am wrong). But if so, then; when we return home; this is where we have interactions with the family as well as a place to relax. 3.4. And assuming that if the lights affects our mental and even vision; then even if this is not directly related to Feng Shui ; it is related to poor "Human or Man Luck". Some of us get irritated or uncomfortable in our home etc... 4. Thus in reality, what can affect you is really about HUMAN or MAN LUCK factors. If one is able to tolerate then good for you. But if one cannot relax in such a house and sometimes can even affect eye-sight and this can also lead to headache and poor health.. then .. good luck... 4.1. This link shows the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck System. 4.2. Here, Human or Man Luck accounts for 33.333 % of one's total luck. 5. Thus for example if the home's Feng Shui is very good.. the Man or Human Luck can bring down the total score! 6. If one has the time, one can take a look at this resource on the Chinese Holy Trinity of Luck....
  21. Learn why? See the huge message? ”Get All Your 7th Month Offering needs Here!” Does it mean that HGs are now attracted to a Hypermart?
  22. These are further considerations: Sometimes there can be situations where the dining table is not placed exactly in the middle of the proposed dining area. Thus in these occasions, a three Mirror glass may even split the dining table in the middle. Therefore, in my reports to clients; I have made this clear by mentioning simply that the split line (if any) of a set of mirrors be it odd or even : so Long as it does split the dining table exactly at the middle = is acceptable or okay or no issue.
  23. This Brani stall used to be popular. Won many awards...apologies for the poor photo... And often by 2pm or latest 2pm = sold out. The other day, even at 6pm.. still open. The seller said nowadays poor business. Most likely many nowadays go shopping at Malls and at the same time have their meal there. Unfortunately, it so happens that the rice that day was soggy.. unappealing ... + the achar bland...hmmm..The chicken however is moist and the saving grace. Try their mutton... though.. melt in the mouth.
