If you have the time, you can consider going to this thread to have a better understanding of the "facing direction/main door" of a stack/unit in ahigh-rise building:- An appreciation of the term "Facing direction/main door":- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=33246&new=

Facing direction of Compass Heights
These are some considerations: 1. For developments that had TOP many years ago; one way to determine the facing direction of various stacks/units in the development is through the use of sites like: http://one.map.sg 2. For sites that are under construction one can still go to urls like http://streetdirectory.com 3. For example: if you look at any map at http://one.map.sg one will realise that on the bottom left of each screen there is a North marking on the map. 4. And do take note that all streetdirectory maps be it on the website or paper version will always have the "North" at the top. 5. Next, invest in a 360 degrees protractor. Reasonably good ones can often be purchased at Popular book stores. 6. Enclosed are various examples of how one can plot and determine the Flying Star facing direction of any stack/unit. 7. which calendar and time to use?
You can read more, here:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=2&mid=23906&new= For example, this is an extract from the above resource link:- APPLYING LOCATION FACTOR INTO BA ZI 1. Frankly, all the various practitioners/master who use TIME ZONE or LOCATION factors, are modern changes avocated by modern practitioners. There is no such calculation when Ba Zi was invented in China. 2. The only method that is technically correct is to apply the LOCATION factor to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Even this has two issues:- a) Even 0.01 degree off either the latitude and/or longtitude, will make a major change to your ba zi chart. This 0.01 degree of error can make your chart even less accurate if it is incorrect. Which can be even less accurate than a chart that you leave the hour pillar as unknown. b) Most people don't even have the time of birth, let a lone the exact place of birth. So why complicate the issue. 3. Using GMT time zone is a bad way to apply the location factor, because GMT timezone only affects the longtitude changes. Furthermore, GMT has been simplified so much so it is no longer as accurate as in the past. 4. Our stand on this issue is NOT to add these level of complication to the analysis. Meaning that you should just use your local time (regardless of what country), to analyse the ba zi. This is because if you truly understand how the ba zi works, the HOUR pillar will not make a major impact in terms of the 10-yearly, 5-yearly, yearly and monthly luck pillars. The hour pillar gives additional pillars available for combinations and clashes, so this can affect the final outcome of a person to be either weak or strong. A day without the hour will give the rough element strength of the day. Only a few hours may result in weak/strong element. Otherwise, not much change will occur. Your luck pillars will not be too badly influenced by the hour impact. Except for minor yearly and chart clash or harms that may occur. But these are minor as your general luck will not alter too much. 5. This is why we can still analyse a person luck fairly well even if you do not provide the hour pillar. Just check out some of the masters who had done case study of famous people, you will noticed that they do it just with the date of birth. They don't even apply any location factor. Ba zi has designed to compensate from the lact of the hour pillar. So with or without the hour of birth, a person's chart can still be charted out. Just that with the hour pillar, your forecast will be more accurate. 6. This is why we find no need to apply location into the bazi. Just use your local time and it should be ok. 7. You must always remember that a ba zi is supposed to be a heavenly GIVEN chart of what kind of luck you are supposed to have assuming your environment remains constant. This means it does not consider education, your house (earth luck), people around you, your career etc. However, in real life, how can you expect your environment to be the same all the time. Your luck is always being altered by your house luck, people around you, and your career. Let me give you some example:- a. Given a pair of twins with the exact date and time of birth. One has primary education and one has PHD. Which you think will have better life. Most likely the one with PHD. b. Given a same pair of twins. One stays in US and one stays in IRAQ. Which will you think will have a better life. Again most likely US as it is more stable and peaceful, as compared to a war torn country such as IRAQ. c. Given a two persons:- ?Person A has the 10-year luck favourable to him, but he stays in a house with entrapped feng shui and death suitability to the home. ?Person B has the 10-year luck unfavourable to him, but he says in a house with excellent feng shui and prosperity suitability to the home. The Person B will have actually a much better luck then person A. Cos, a person's earth luck has been ADVERSED impacted which superceeds his ba zi luck. 8. So ba zi is NOT a tool which can forecast all past events with 100% accuracy. What it can do is give you a forecast of potential pitfalls allowing you to maximise your luck by avoiding the bad period. Many modern practitioners/masters, try to make you think that ba zi can give you an accurate assesment of your past and future events. How is this possible, if the concept is only supposed to provide you with a heavenly given luck? 9. So our advice to you is just to leave the hour unknown or unaltered as it is NOT necessary. Conned job & bad luck
Further to what I had mentioned, in modern times ba zi is used to determine compatibility instead of the simplistic Chinese Astrology of "I am a rat. And I am suppose to be compatible to a monkey or a dragon. My worse pairing is with a horse". In this illustration. This person born on 7 February 2014 and born between 5pm to 6.59pm is considered as a weak earth person. And based on the Five elements concept; this person's best pairing is with a person of the "strong fire" element.

Stove and WC
This is under the category of "symbolism" in Feng Shui. And nice-not to have the WC sharing the same wall as the stove. In many of the write-ups of uncompleted condo units: I have also noticed and highlighted that it is "nice-not-to" have the wc sharing the same wall as the stove especially if they are directly next-wall to each other.

Conned job & bad luck
In the past before the pre-computer age and internet age; what one finds in book stores are generic Chinese Horoscope and /or Chinese Zodiac signs books. Thus, in the 19670s to even 1980s especially, such books were common as they are easy to write as the subject matter needs only one's Year of birth. Thus, sites like: http://lovesigns.net cater to this general area. Thus you are known as a rat person. While your friend's brother is a Monkey. And of course even a dragon person is said to be very suitable to a rat person. Ba Zi Unlike the common generic Chinese Horoscope/Animal Signs/Zodiac signs: Ba Zi takes into account one's Year / Month / Day & even Hour of birth to determine one's element and strength. While the Chinese Zodiac only considers your Year of birth. Ba Zi analysis is considered the better choice as it is highly personalised. Under Ba Zi for example: even if you are a Rat: there can be so many variations e.g. a weak wood / strong wood ; a weak fire / strong fire; weak earth / strong earth / weak metal / strong metal / weak water / strong water. Thus you can be any of the above. For example: you could say be a weak fire person. And your friend's brother a strong water person. Here, just imagine: if you are that weak fire person: the other person's strong water could easily have extinguished your weak fire person. If say you are a weak water person; then a partner of say a strong metal would instead benefit you. Therefore, being a rat vs a monkey is too simplistic a model. It is just like someone going for an x-ray vs someone going under the MRI scanning. Like an x-ray; it is in black and white. While after the MRI scan; one can even see in detail / colour / slice of a person's individual body section. Arthur L. wrote:In 2014, sometime around October, I thought I had a good opportunity to work with a friend's brother(Monkey year), in a business venture.

cul-de-sac advice
These are some considerations: 1. There is a general consensus amongst geomancers that there should not be a difference in the practice of Feng Shui for both North and South hemisphere. 2. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui: the question asked is how "vulnerable" your frontage or home is to sha qi or poison arrows. 3. Simply from a top-down view: does the cul-de-sac cause a "slice-into" the home i.e. a sha qi (poison arrow) or 3.1. In the even if there is a run-away vehicle, can this vehicle run-amok and plough into e.g. the main entrance or windows or other "vulnerable" parts of the home. IF the answer is no to para 3 or 3.1 then one is said to be reasonable ok from the cul-de-sac One can also do a search in this forum for past mgs on cul-de-sac

Resale flat fengshui
A Flying Star Period 6 flatthat is based on a simple curve design. In the past, this design was common in HDB flats all over many parts of Singapore. However, as this designdoes not maximize the builtup area of the plot of land; hard to find this rather simplistic design where there is one long corridor to all the flats. Nowadays, there would be flats built "left-to right" of the corridor.

Highline Residences Condo - Which units are lucky today?
Highline Residences Condo & Shapes and Forms with Flying Star Feng Shui 1. Under Shapes and Forms it is good that this development consists of three point-blocks of flats. 1.1 Point-block flats have it's advantages as air or qi circulates quickly around each block / stack ensuring that all stacks/units are airy. 2. Another good point is that this development faces true-cardinal points of North 0/360 / South 180 degrees / East 90 degrees. 2.1 A safe consideration under Flying Stars Feng Shui. As in some developments the facing direction of a few stacks borderline between e.g. N2 and N3 facing directions. 2.2 Here, even if the stacks are slightly angled this will not cause the stack/unit to fall in between e.g. say N2 or N3. 3. Under Flying stars; there is a difference between a N2 facing vs a S2 facing chart. 3.2 Here, under N2 facing; the combined auspicious wealth stars are wasted at the rear of the home. Here, "rear" often means wasted at the kitchen / yard area in stead of at the frontage like that of an S2 chart. 3.3The S2 facing stacks are by far the best stacks for a East group person. As both frontage enjoys the double auspicious #8 wealth stars. And furthermore their facing directions has water. Bring great wealth. 3.4. Attached, please find a sample illustration of a Flying Star Period 8, S2 chart. 3.5. In the attachment: it is advantages for the [8] & [8] which symbolises : Prosperity, good wealth at the frontage of the home. Vs a N2 facing where this good stars are wasted at the "rear" which is usually the kitchen/yard area. 3.6 The only concern for a S2 facing chart is that so often, the kitchen may be located at NW sector. Which in Feng Shui is called: "Fire at Heaven's Gate". And this can affect the male breadwinner's career luck. 3.7. Thus for a South facing (S2) best to select a unit where the kitchen is either at North or North-east sector is preferred. 4. E2 facing stacks: It is such a waste that the combined auspicious wealth stars are wasted at the "rear" of the house. This is usually where the kitchen and yard are.
