  1. These are some considerations: 1. The Lowest common denominator or L.C.M. 1.1. Here, one must have a good grounding of the Five Elements Concept. 1.2. For example: Earth supports or fuels Metal 1.3. While : Water "draws out" Metal. 2. Without a solid or good grounding of the Five Elements; one will forever be at a lost. 3. For example: #7 ? 3.1. #7 under the Five elements concept is considered as a "weak Metal" element. 3.2. Under the PRODUCTIVE cycle of the Five Elements concept: Earth > Metal > Water > Wood > Fire. 3.3. In your earlier 1st and/or 2nd question: since #7 is a metal element. 3.4. Under the Five elements concept Metal can be reduced by water. 4. So, my question to you is : What's wrong with using Water to reduce the Metal element? Look at it this way.. why you did not use the Earth element? instead of Water? 5. For other questions, I suggest that one make an effort to learn the Five Elements be it number assocations: e.g. #6 = strong metal; #5 = strong earth etc... and also both the Productive and Destructive cycle. 6. If the above, still sounds greek; after reading thru; then, better go back to the drawing board and try to have a solid grounding ..... of? The Five Elements concept. 7. Clue: Sometimes: to fight fire; you need erh... water? or strange as it may seem another element that can "hurt" or destroy in this case #7.
  2. The key essence or ingredient of the Flying Star Feng Shui is to determine the "mouth" of the premises - in this case, your apartment's facing direction. And going by this: where is the most yang qi : be it an opening or light flowing into the home. Thus, based on your description; it could be from your living room looking outwards of your balcony - as an appropriate facing direction. As mentioned, in the past; if a geomancer were to quote past sources: and in the past, there were no high rise; and claim that based on "ancient" text; it should be standing inside the main door looking outwards = ALL THE TIME; no ifs or buts.....then, should perhaps, be transported to Germany in the 1940's and be strung by a piano wire... for this ignorant deed.
  3. You might want to consider some of the factors in the attached list (from a recent By Ranking Review of St George's Towers
  4. Frankly, there are many other factors to consider. Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=33980&new=?pagewanted=all You might want to use some of the points listed, in one of the attachments above to fine-tune your choice. As what you mentioned, is very little especially for me to say which two units are definitely better.
  5. Frankly, ideally, it is best not to have such a situation. But, even in Singapore, the "deceased" and even funeral halls are close-by to living quarters. For example, the Singapore Casket Company and a Hotel is side-by-side in Lavendar street. Very rarely, the recent "dead" would have the means to haunt someone. The Chinese Holy Trinity of luck consists of: Heaven (Born with); Earth (Home & Office) and Human or Man Luck. As Feng Shui is only about 33.33 % ; the other two are: Human and Heaven Luck factors. More often, if we don't feel good factor or feel uneasy this has more to do with Human Luck. Thus, if one has a lower resistance or less of a good feel factor; this affects our "Human or man Luck". So much so, that too much of this can easily be just as bad as poor Feng Shui. Feng Shui is originally a non-religion. Thus in theory, when a person is placed in the "temporary" wake hall; and especially later either get buried or cremated; then there are few occassions if any that they want to "remain" in this wake-hall area. There are perhaps, better areas for them to wander off or even "haunt" then a wake-hall. Unless, someone dies a terrible death at that specific location; then this might be a concern.
  6. You have a choice of 27 different colours to choose from for the wrough iron gate...
  7. When these are displayed in supermarkets, again this is a timely reminder that Chinese New Year is round the corner
  8. An educational list or timely reminder that Chinese New Year 2015 is coming soon.,,, 1. Chinese New Year Couplets 2. Reunion Dinner on the eve of new year 3. New Year Grocery 4. Children keep awake and keeping vigil 5. Traditional Lion Dance 6. Preparing and drinking Red Date Tea 7. Giving of Hong Pao (Ang Pao) Again, my apologies for making or try to make you read "sidewards"
  9. These are some considerations: 1. Only under Period 5; #5 becomes an auspicious number. Else in other periods such as #7 etc... #5 is an inauspicious number. 2. Please note that what you generate is only about Vertical Flying stars. For example, the stack and which level is auspicious or inauspicious or even neutral. 3. Vertical Flying stars is mostly used especially for those who have a keen interest in a stack; such as in a ballot or a potential purchase. That's it. 4. All the talk about how to de-emphasize or cure or destroy or accentuate; you have to look at HORIZONTAL Flying Stars Feng Shui. You have to plot out the specific unit's Flying stars number from North to South to East to West. Such as shown in the sample.
  10. No! It is not about hauntings... type of "dirty".
  11. This stall must be pretty "old". As one no longer sees such "raised lettering" signages anymore. The signage was very popular in the 1970s to 1980's. Nowadays, such advertisement signages are virtually flat pieces.... Therefore, this stall must have been around for quite some time. Location: In Jurong East Market (next to Parc Oasis) condo.
  12. Frankly, there are so many meanings associated with the word "dirty". But actually, this "dirty land" has nothing to do with the "haunted house(s)" kind. This plot of land consists of two run down bungalow houses : 18E and 18D Fort Road. The original owners did not leave a proper will and in the past; there are the wife and many mistresses. I believe you get the picture! One good thing for it's neighbours is that this large plot of land cannot be sold to any developers since the property's titles are "dirty". As such, this two bungalows will continue to remain there as long as the "dirty" titles is not settled!
  13. 1. This Chinese New Year's (CNY's) Flying Stars of 2015 shows the dreaded #3 = Quarrels, conflicts and legal entanglements in the center-of the home or premises. 2. For Homes with open spaces at the centrepoint of the home; may expect more conflicts and relationship issues. 3. For Small and Medium priced enterprises; do expect some production issues and/or product rejections and at the same time : turnover and greater relationship/conflicts at work-place. 4. In 2015 also, the #5 misfortune / sickness star is located at the West. And more cause and concern for places or locations that has their frontage and /or openings at West (sector). 5. If the premises has a North frontage; this is where the #8 current prosperity water wealth star is located. And particularly advantages for those who have a water position at this area - especially if it is in an "open area" - not a bedroom or back-yard area. Alternatively, if this location (North) allows for opening of a window(s) and/or sliding doors; good to frequently open them for this 2015 CNY year. Good Luck!
  14. A timely note to do some spring cleaning in one's home! Avoid being a hoarder! This is not Feng Shui! But hey! Not everything is based on Feng Shui. How about some common sense?
  15. Which is a good day to re-open for business on Chinese New Year CNY? For start of business on Chinese New Year (CNY) 2015; for a business that cannot afford to close too long; then the next best date to re-open is on Tuesday, 24th February which is the 6th day of the 1st lunar month. Or if one can afford to close longer; than one can consider to re-open for business on a Thursday, 26th February which is the 8th day of the 1st lunar month.
  16. In fact, ranking a development is a serious business. Besides the rubbish chute; there are even more considerations. As the selection exercise of St George's Towers are in progress; I had to blur out the critical information of the best stacks in the development. In the attachment, there are lots of other considerations even in a small development such as this one: St George's Towers Feng Shui Considerations in a Ranking Exercise: 1. Afternoon sun? 2. View blocked by e.g. 8th storey MSCP & lamp posts on the top floor of the MSCP as a poison arrow? 3. Sharp corners of another block/stack 4. Rubbish chute beside unit or close-by? 5. Vehicle road noise. And also in this development e.g. stack #17 is a major in-out route to the MSCP car park. 6. Low floors in full view of elderly facilities. Remember the concern of the residents of a Chinese temple with urns etc.. 7. Poison arrows if any from MSCP car park 8. Master bedroom wall soaking in afternoon sun and oozing out in the evening 9. Canal water flow affecting certain stacks : good or bad depending on the flow e.g. right to left or left to right of a stack 10. Suitability to breadwinners and family members
  17. In the selection of an HDB flat, often not only is the consideration of the dreaded afternoon sun. But also; since all new generation HDB flats have a common shared rubbish chute; this has to be considered in additional to the many other factors. If not, the "unluckier" ones end up purchasing a flat next to or in full-view of a rubbish chute. For example, in this same Acacia in Yishun : Blks 505A, 505B, 505C and 505D would have even the larger HDB 5 bedroom flats next to a rubbish chute.
  18. 1. Please see attachment; 2. For this layout; the best or preferred location of the Altar is at marking "A". 3. If the Altar is at location "B"; then the bed-head in Bedroom 3 must not share the same wall as the Altar. 3.1Furthermore, under location "B"; if joss stickers are lighted up daily; then the joss-smoke would often flow into all three bedrooms. Not ideal if some family members are often at home. As inhaling such smoke in the long term may not be health. 3.2 In some other units; the altar may be located at marking "D". But since every six months; the rays of the afternoon sun may shine towards location "D". Thus considered "disrespectful" to have the altar, here. 3.3 Location "G" is considered as a "last resort". If possible, still place the altar for this home at marking "A". 4. While location "F" is a no-no for an altar. As it will be sharing the same wall as the toilet. Thus considered inauspicious. == Extract of e-mail conversation with client. To show the important of an altar @ home. Here, the emphasis is that one should work your renovation plans around an altar. But not work the altar to the renovation plans. == Thanks Cecil for your advice. Just to check, other than the best position next to the main entrance to locate the altar, are you able to advise where are other OK locations to locate the altar? Thank you for your help! Best Regards W.T. Thanks Cecil for your advice. We will have the altar remain at the same place (per your diagram) and work the layout (most likely build some shelvings) around the altar. Thanks once again for your help!! Best Regards W.T. Dear W.T. & Y. H. (for privacy issues, using only initials for the names) 1. Please see attachment. 2. No offence. But you SHOULD work your layout AROUND your altar. And not "conveniently" place the altar to match your interior layout plan. 3. As mentioned, in my earlier e-mail; the interior you can play aroundno issue. But NOT the altar. 4. If you are going to "play" around with your altar; my suggestion is;Don't have it (an altar).
  19. 1. All the new 2014 and 2015 5 bedroom HDB flats almost have this layout plan for the kitchen. 2. For the 5 bedrooms; the kitchen entrance is in full view of the main entrance area. 3. Option 2 shows the kitchen entrance relocated to a "traditional" re-located position. 4. While I have drawn Option 3. The advantage of Option 3 over Option 2 is to maximize the limited space in the kitchen. Where the fridge can be futher closer to the entrance; as the kitchen space is crammed if the sink and stove were to be placed side-by side with the fridge = Near impossible with a bigger fridge. 5. Yesterday, while proposing the third Option: Option 3: I mentioned to my client that one distinct disadvantage of Option 3 is that it is much harder to find a "proper" door for this kitchen set-up. But for the majority who does not air-con their living room and/or close their kitchen door on a daily basis is a non-issue.
  20. Also not ideal to place an altar as shown in the attached sketch.
  21. Case Study: The Rainforest Flying Star Feng Shui 1. Stacks/units either face Period 8 Flying Star NE1 30 degrees or SW1 210 degrees. 2. In general from T.O.P. until 2023, these frontage NE1 and SW1 have good Flying Star Feng Shui. Do you always use the main door for Flying Star Feng Shui? Paid a visit on 30.3.2015 The Rainforest also had just recently TOP. (April 2015). Overall a good feel of this place. The full layout of a 4 bedroom The Rainforest @ Choa Chua Kang. Showing the WC sharing the same wall as the kitchen stove
