Sitting Star Combination of Ten in Period 7?
Dear Anon, For the double 8's, under Flying Star Feng Shui, it is particularly very auspicious especially in Period 8. Should your home be under Period 8, since the mountain star is #8 while the water star is #8, you should have an external mountain at the left (to activate a mountain) and water features at the right (to activate the water). In my opinion, I personally feel that your new home most likely will be a Period 8 home:- 1. As you had mentioned, it is not fully ready. Although more importantly, the roof-tiles are in place. However, given that the windows are not in, this is "dicey". 2. If you really wish to remain a Period 7, the main door and back door must be installed before Period 7 (at least, we have one less issue to be concerned about when determing whether it is a Period 7 or 8. 3. But, given that you have not moved-in, or unable to move-in during Period 7, it is my opinion, that it is going to be a period 8 house. Some school of thought could perhaps or may suggest that you move in the masterbedroom bed, and even dining table, make sure that the stove is in position. Choose an auspicious date before next Chinese New Year (CNY) to move-in. It may not be practical to stay in for the night but if possible, could try to do so. Or alternatively, place a set of your night clothes on your side and your partner's clothing on the other side. These are just things that can be done to further reduce, or minimize things to do with determining a period 7 or 8 home. Wishing you and your family Lots of Health, Wealth and Happiness! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Re-audit of home
Dear Mr Ng, 1. Based on the information provided. I have run a flying star (xuan kong chart for your home). 2. These are my findings:- 2.1 In addition to what was mentioned earlier, the flying star chart for your home equally shows another `leak' based on the time dimension. 2.2 Under your current home Period 7 flying star chart because you have a mountain star #5 at the front of your home, this is associated with "loss of money and misfortune". 2.3 Based on this current Period 7 chart, it is not advantages to activate any water in your living room or balcony area) as much of the cures relating to this home are not from water - element. 3. For your home, give the confirmation of bad Shapes and Forms with equally bad Flying star, it is no wonder that you are faced with lots of problems. 4. My suggestion is that you Fly your home to a Period 8 chart. As the Flying star chart of your home can take advantage of the Period 8's better chart. And this period 8's chart has a further advantage of a "Pearl-string" formation. 5. Here, you can have a water position at the main entrance location while you can activate a mountain at the front. 6. It is no wonder that, whatever enhancements, whether be it if your previous practitioners if they had applied Flying star - most likely may not be effective. 7. Given this senario, and due to the next period coming in, you can take advantage of Period 8's new time dimension. 8. But the caution here, is that you have to be realistic in that the odds are stacked against you in the current period. But, if your home is : 8.1 effectively flown to Period 8, (after next CNY), you can reduce much of the leak. Given that there many inauspicious sectors within your current home, a mirror placed at a wrong location may bounce back twice the bad luck. In addition, I am not sure what type of advise was given to you. And if they so are they correctly done. If for example, your heaven luck (ba zi) is in the auspicious or very auspicious or very auspicious wealth; Like the car bumper, you can still take a `hit' and survive. But without a bumper, things can be quite bumpy. It is similar to driving a car with Euro-safety rating of 5. Your "car" or "luck" does not have this rating. In fact, currently what stands between you is one driving without a saftey belt on. (Not even considering having a front air bag - nor side air bags). A very thin line. In my opinion, your arowana fish tank can be of use, during CNY 2004 and after - but not at this moment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Period 7 or Period 8 Houses?
Dear Tripp, These are some of the major considerations:- 1. First and foremost, one has to consider the Shapes and Forms of a home. 2. For majority of homes, many of the leaks or enhancements can be made to the home. Thus resulting in a "liveable" home or better. 3. Frankly, for some homes, it is best to know whether the home has or (has not) any major leaks. 3.1 , I mentioned, that one major leak is ok. But if there are two or more major leaks, then watch out! 3.2 In addition, if the leaks are "fundamental" or nearly impossible to correct - in practical terms. 3.3 Take the recent case of a home that was consulted by two practitioners. 3.4 This home has 3 "permanent" leaks that cannot be EFFECTIVELY corrected (under Earth Luck). 1st permanent leak: Toilet at the centrepoint and centre of gravity - and when one opens the main door (mouth of the house) the toilet is right `smack' at the location. Given it is an apartment, there is no such thing as, re-plumbing the home. 3.5 2nd permanent leak has to do with the home on (in-fact close to the ground floor). And there is a service road (exit) point i.e. car movement leaking wealth (movement of cars create disturbed metal qi as well as like a water position moving away wealth in this case. 3.6 3rd permanent leak is the masterbedroom toilet, which is again occupying another "major" second "centre-of-gravity" location of "the other part of the home". 4. In addition, ba zi of the occupants are in their inauspicious periods. 5. Frankly, given this senario, the odds are heavily stacked here. 6. The rule-of-thumb in many of such situations is to "cut-losses". Frankly, under the earth luck (it is not like) there can be a miracle cure. Any "cure" suggested with regards to the above 3 x permanent leaks is akin to taking a sugar coated pill. 7. However, when often faced with such situation, if the Heaven luck, and Earth luck are not so good, then, the last recourse - without moving is to increase the human or man luck. this can be quite stressful, given often, finance and quarrels may occur. But this is the most reasonable - stop gap measure. 8. Period 7 or Period 8? For those who are able to understand and utilise Flying Star, should first chart out the Period 7 and Period 8 charts. Here, look at all sectors especially the main door, back room and especially the bedroom areas. Please note that : perhaps, unlike your situation, no choice, your house most likely have to be a Period 8 home, many others who have stayed in their current home, can determine if: Is it worthwhile to keep to Period 7 - perhaps a better chart than Period 8? Or will going to Period 8 be worse-off? 7. Symbollically, there are many various ways, practitioners can suggest for a home to go into period 8 WITHOUT MAJOR HACKING for say a period 7 or earlier home. So, this is not the major issue, here. As mentioned, what is more critical is : Is it better keeping the home a Period 6? Period 7 vs a Period 8 home. This is the fundamental - concern. Since, once we `fly' to Period 8, there is NO SUCH THING AS TURNING back the clock. Once, a home flys to Period 8, it cannot revert back to Period 5, 6, 7 etc.... (While period 9 is quite sometime more! 20 years more .... to be exact..) Warmest Regards, Cecil I will like to know for Does renovating the Hope to hear your

Center of the house
Dear Mandy, Please refer to this resource on how to determine the centrepoint, etc... http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm There are many (many) Schools of Feng Shui. And your geomancy master is not wrong. In the past, ancient times, getting the main door is simple since, many of the homes / with court-yard are rectangular in shape and where the main gate facing is, the main door facing is often in the same direction. In ancient times, there is no such thing as so elaborate a building with honeycombs of various `facing' homes. Given this senario, standing at the centrepoint to the main door utilises the concept of "centre-of-gravity" and the flux at the centrepoint of a home in relation to the main door direction. Therefore, there is no right or wrong methods. Since, Feng Shui can be looked at a macro or micro level. In fact, one famous Chinese Feng Shui master once said: " no matter what method, if we correlate our expertise with shapes and forms, often the result will come to the same result". Therefore, some Feng Shui schools `cursed' and said that theirs is always the correct method. Here, if we look at it objectively, "don't curse at others" unless you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that your method is "PREFECT". What is your proof? Given this senario, as I mentioned, there are so many different Feng Shui schools - in the world. Given that there is no past precedence: Where in the world did a old (ancient FS master) ever did FS an apartment be it a condo or a high-rise? Warmest Regards, Cecil I Thank you very Regards Mandy ------- Please use the free tools Warmest

Support for Combination of 10
Dear Nhan, Please see below:- For those who are not aware, the sum-of-ten is for example: mountain star #5 and base star #5. Here, these two add up to a sum-of-ten. In such a senario, if properly used, can help to enhance Man Luck (Human and Relationship and Health Luck). Could you 1) Our house is a For the effectiveness in the sum-of-ten, the most effective are: Earth shaped or rectangular shaped home or try to have your home as `rectangular' as possible. In the living / dining area if it is L shaped, try to have it as rectangular e.g. a partition or screen. 2) Our Even with a #8 mountain star at the centre: some school of thought is to have a `mountain' perhaps in the form of a cabinet or storeroom. Here, since the centrepoint is the `flux' location, best to leave it clear space. In fact, the most advantages for a sum-of-ten actually is similar to the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui of making each unit of the room as rectangular as possible and allow clear space at the centre area or the `flux'. Frankly, I have not looked at the association of #8 mountain with the interaction of the base number or water number. Here, these two other numbers has to be looked at in combination with #8. As #8 mountain cannot be looked at in isolation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jen, Please go thru some of the resources here:- House Hunting: Can or Cannot buy? http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting-faq.htm In fact, many times I have been taken advantaged of with regards to the above. For example, in the past, I had to literally `put-down' every other work to help these people. The faster I help analyse each case, it does not seem to be appreciated. What's more, often I hear of "threats" - The agent says, I must confirm OR ELSE.. In fact, there were many cases where some clients (I did for free) literally - gave me the entire development's plans and help them find good choice units. One even asked me could I identify good housing board units in "Choa Chu Kang estate". Wow, nowadays, given the perpertual abuse, I decided not to do it for free, already. Blk 515 Woodlands Drive
Dear Mandy, Based on the facing direction it should be NW. And sitting direction is SE. Please use the free tools which is available in the website for finding the sleeping direction. For the stove, most practitioners often consider the female of the house - and it should preferably face her good direction. (Bearing in mind the flying star chart influence i.e. if a specific sector: some practitioners say is the North or NW, it is best to avoid the true compass directions else it may `burn' auspiciousness.). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Mr Ng, I have already privately e-mailed you with my frank comments and several reports for you to understand better your Heaven Luck (which is adding to your woes). Please note that since you are considered a weak metal person, having a fish tank can be a double edged sword - if especially the location for it is wrong - athough, it can still be used for a weak metal person. Help on 10-Year Luck Period
Dear Anon, Pillars of Destiny has it's limitations: 1. It is a snap-shot of your Heaven Luck or (What is given to us). 2. On a personal level, we can try to wear clothings that harmonize us. 3. More importantly, our Earth Luck (Home) does have a significant weightage on our luck. 4. Pillars of destiny is used to harmonize our ba zi with our home. For example, colour scheme and position of beds, study area. 5. This is why, as far as possible, the three holy trinity of Luck is often used - instead of only 1 trinity (Heaven luck) in isolation. Heaven Luck - what is given (Use this to harmonize with our earth luck) Earth Luck (Feng Shui of a home) Human (Man) Luck - this is free e.g. relationship with family members (bonding etc...) Dear Mr Ng, 1. Yes, you can quickly fax to me or privately e-mail : support@geomancy.net you and your wife's date of birth. 2. In your case, since there are many major leaks, try to fix as many leaks as possible (those that can be fixed). Hopefully, your home is not cluttered with too many "figurines" off-loaded by the various practitioners. 3. If there are `cures' in place especially other water positions or large objects e.g. a crystal cave etc... sometimes, this can make the situation worse-off - if they are placed in the wrong sectors. Kitchen design & stove location
Dear Wasis, Part I of reply:- Based on your kitchen layout, the most optimal stove position is at locations : Marking A or B. For marking A, the only major issue is that there is a window. Yes, this can be used. But, under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, in case of a fire, plywood is a combustable object and may cause more damage in a real fire. In the above example, Marking B is more practical, since a stove a marking A will cause the window to be closed - no air. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please see attachment

Another type of Metal
Dear Anon, Further to what I had mentioned, another consideration can be a fan i.e. with metal / aluminium blades. Perhaps, an aircon can be equated with it. Here, even with the best placements, air circulation or qi movement within a confined space. Personally, I would even consider the humming of the hepta air-cleaners as a form of moving metal. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Is this location considered good or bad?
Dear Caroline, It is best that you re-read my earlier posting and illustration. 1. If you look carefully at the outline of the school, it has a head and mouth, a body, several legs and a tail/fin. 2. In addition, if you look at the purple outline, it shows the mouth opened to `suck' qi from it's surroundings and from your unit. 3. In addition, I have shown other problem issues: 3.1 The canal outline is inauspicious in relation to your block. Here, it translates to lost opportunities, and result in financial entanglements or simply lost of wealth. 3.2 The other critical issue, which I did not fully touch on is that your unit is an `entrapped' unit. 4. A normal rectangular block as as block 517 has better Feng Shui than your block. 4.1 It so happens that your unit in relation to your block is sandwiched much like the U shaped inauspicious configuration. Where qi at your unit cannot either flow properly or move in a more even keel. In addition it is close to the lift landings where, there are also issues related to the movement of metal (lifts moving up and down). Frankly, the best FS practitioners may not help given that there is not only one major leak but, a series of leaks. At best, it can only help to harmonise the home or reduce leaks. But overall, the amount of lost opportunties and leaks will always be greater than in-flow of wealth. Therefore the success rate is stacked against one, from day one in such a senario. Hopefully, the major renovation by the school could change it's profile and thus reduce one major leak. Wishing you all the best in selling your home! Warmest Regards, Cecil It seems like our Thank you and Best

Another type of Metal
Dear Anon, Another form of metal can be e.g. 1. A copper ruler. Some FS practitioners equate e.g. a 1 foot copper ruler as equivalent to the 6 coins. 2. Another alternative is a pendulum clock. A real pendulum clock that has a brass counterweight that swings. But brands like "SEIKO" with imitation spray painted plasted swings that look like brass is suspect. 3. Some users have suggested a musical tick-tock pendulum. 4. Another alternative is: the early Chinese alarm clock that has a mechanical movement. This clocks have to be wind. And it gives a metallic tick-tock sound also. 5. Another alternative is the use of a water-fountain e.g. those that has a circular radiating ball at the centre. Here, the centre ball represents metal element. Warmest Regards, Cecil

After consulting 2 .. Feng Shui Advise
Dear Mr Ng, Thank you for your fax copy of your layout plan. Based purely (alone) on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, there are several major leaks and sub-leaks:- 1. Major Leaks:- 1.1 Shared toilet ================= Your shared toilet is at the centrepoint or (centre-of-gravity). This toilet is also close to/next to the main entrance. 1.2 The entire interior layout ============================== Qi flow from the mouth of the house (main entrance) is not harmonious in relation to the master bedroom door and living room area. (Based on the blank layout plan). If a partition is used, it should screen the master bedroom door. But becareful of the use of a screen anywhere else in the home. 1.3 The master bedroom toilet ============================= This is another toilet which is in an inauspicious Shapes and Forms position. 1.4 Top down view of each block =============================== Unlike a rectangular point-block, each block has an awakward shape - and this affects the flow of qi coming into your unit. 1.5 External shapes and forms ============================= Inauspicious Road movement (symbolic of virtual water movement) vis-a-vis very low floor and a circular radiating feature (boomerang or disk effect) sending sha qi. 1.6 Water position ================== Based on a preliminary glimpse, you have to be extra careful if you are placing a water feature at the living room area (especially at NW direction - metal direction which could inadvertently exhaust good metal - making things to nought). On a Shapes and Forms analysis, water may not be compatible with a NW metal area. But, I am just guessing. But, perhaps, a Flying star analysis may be different - if, there is a #8 water star at the living room area. If so, water can be used to activate `wealth'. 2. Frankly, based on just the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, there are more than 1 major leak. And often, based on my past experience, wealth is difficult to retain. 3. Your question was that you like to know where is the best location to place your fish tank. 3.1 If you can let me have you and your wife's date and time of birth, I can check for you whether (firstly) you are suitable for a water position or not. 3.2 For example, in a senario where e.g. husband is a strong water person and wife is a strong wood person - water can bring with it more problems etc. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. without your permission, I have not posted a copy of the interior layout plan. But, if given the permission, I can post only the interior layout plan - with comments - and protect your privacy by not showing the external layout.

Mirror Placement
Further to what I had mentioned, since it is close to the next period, do wait for next year's analysis to see if a further set of six coins is needed. Or else, do let me know e.g. via private e-mail, what is your Flying star sector. And I can advise you to leave it on or not necessarily to place it on for the next year. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Mirror Placement
Dear Anon, 1. For a home, it is best to take note that the Period of the 20-Year Flying Star analysis does not change unless a major renovation has been done. 2. Major renovations include especially hacking of floor tiles and removal of the roof tiles. Some Feng Shui school of thought would suggest that symbolically, one may not technically need to remove the entire set of tiles. Just a few tiles. And some would include a combination of removal and cleaning or re-painting or re-coating the tiles. 3. For example, your 20-Year Period 7 Flying Star, will remain the same. 4. As usual, we will update the Yearly influence to reflect on the yearly star and it's effect on that year. This can be seen on the 1st Jan 2004. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Is this location considered good or bad?
Dear Caroline, 1. Frankly, the map that was provided earlier does not fully show the full context (significance) of the major threat - entire Shape of the School outline. 2. As I am very family with many locations, I know where this location is. But had also masked out key important roads and pointers - since you had indirectly indicated for some privacy. I have also provided a self-explanatory write-up under the attachment in this message. 3. If one looks carefully, the School looks much like a reptile or (dragon) with an `open hungry mouth' facing Block 518. Unfortunately, the reptile looks rather under-nourished. And this is symbolic of the need to feed regulary. 4. In the attachment, I have also drawn an inauspicious zone from where the open hungry mouth wants to devour. 5. Often, and inclusive of the canal "slicing" into the block, in my opinion, finance will not be too good. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Rosewood Condo @Woodlands
Part II: 20-Year Reigning Period: 8 (2004-2023) Block direction: S3 (195) Compass direction: 187.5 to 202.4 For units along 20, 19, 24, 23 and 28 and 27 and should it qualify for the above, can also be equally auspicious. Since, under Period 8, where these homes will be Period 8 homes: under this Flying star Feng shui, S3: mountain star is = #8 water star = #8 with base = 3 Implication: [8] & [8] - Prosperity, good wealth. Therefore, considered very auspicious under Period 8. For a #8 with #8 and base 3, facing the water position, do allow for clear space e.g. such as the balcony facing virtual water (clear space). For units that qualify under this area, DO not block the balcony with too many things e.g. clothings, water positions. It is best to leave the balcony - clear space under this 8, 3, 8 combination. I do hope you had `hit-the-jackpot' if your home should qualify under Part I or Part II:) If not, the development has been pretty popular given it's North-South and South-North orientation. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please note that for those who currently own homes built under Period 7 or earlier cannot automatically enjoy Period 8 influence based on these two situations Part I or Part II. If your present home satisfy this condition (period 6, 7 home), you SHOULD seriously consider making your home a PERIOD 8 home to enjoy this influence.

Rosewood Condo @Woodlands
Rosewood Condo Location:Junction of Woodlands Ave 2 and Woodlands Ave 1 Lease: 99 years Expected TOP: 31 July 2004 (middle of next year) Developer: Centrepoint Properties Pte Ltd My comments: 1. In general, majority of the units are aligned around the North-South or South-North configuration. This is generally good considering the fact that a North-South or South-North homes often have relatively good light source all day round. - Without directly facing West or East. 2. Please refer to the site plan below:- Site URL: http://www.rosewoodcondo.com/siteplan.asp I will not cover all units but, units at #13 and #14 are particulary advantages based on two areas:- 3. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui It is well placed to collect good qi. In particular #14 has an extra bonus of qi flow coming from the side. 4. Flying Star Feng Shui Under Flying Star Feng Shui; units with frontage facing in particular: Most likely unit #14 20-Year Reigning Period: 8 (2004-2023) building facing direction: N1 (345) If the block/balcony faces 352.5 to 7.4 degrees, this block has very favourable Flying star frontage of mountain #8 with #8 water star and base #4. Especially under Period 8, when this condo is ready, it implies that with the water position (outside of the home) swimming pool, this is considered a very auspicious home. In addition, one can even have an option of having a water feature at the balcony area. For example, a landscape at the left wall (to simulate a mountain) can be added a the balcony and another water position or fountain can be used to activate water at the right wall. (If we stand in the living room facing the balcony!) To be continued under Part II. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Fish Tank Location
Dear Tracey, For homes that are built or had a major renovation under Period 8, do look out for water star #8. Since, water can be used (often in a landed property) to activate this water star - for wealth purposes. It would be even be excellent if #6 is present under this configuration. For example at a sector: water star is = #8 and base star is = #6 (big metal) With this two combination of 6, 8, water can be used to form a auspicious flow. However, under the Flying star chart one must be extra careful of a reverse in this position where: water star is not #8 but instead, mountain star is #8. And in the above equation; Mountain star = #8 base star = #6 this 8, 6 combination should not be allowed to have a water position at this sector. But instead, this sector is preferably a `mountain' such as the backdoor or a wall, instead. Warmest Regards, Cecil
