Which house ist good for my husband.
Dear Helen, 1. Based strictly on Flying Star Feng Shui (and not external Feng Shui or kua number since both are equally NE1 same facing directions); For home 1, bedroom is in the NE the star chart under NE Period 6 seems much better than for home 2, where bedroom if it is closer to SW has very nasty #5 x 2 misfortune / sickess. For house 2 if the bedroom is closer to West, would be better. 2. For a NE1 home under Period 8, although wealth is acceptable, there is an element of sickness in such a home and must be controlled. As the facing direction NE1 has #2 x 2 sickness and the back of the home SW is also plagued with #5 x 2 misfortune/sickness. Especially if a family member has cancer, need to disarm these elements especially if this home is chosen. 3. As for house 1 Period 6, it is afflicted by: #3 - disputes , quarrelsconflicts at the facing direction NE and the back of the home SW. Minor missing corner is acceptable. Between the two, and for health reasons, Period 6 NE1 is in my opinion, better than Period 8 NE1 especially where sickness is concerned. Direction
Dear Anon, Please see sample attachment. Where there are five family members living in this apartment: Pers1 = male breadwinner Pers2 = his wife Pers3 = his son Dad and Mum Firstly, we need to find out whether each family member(s) are an East or a West group person. In the above sample example, all family members happen to belong to the East Group persons. The breadwinners are Pers1 (Male owner) and Pers2 (Female - wife). As the breadwinners, they sleep in the master bedroom between sectorEast and South-East. In addition, it is nice to point the bed-head facing East which is one of their good sectors. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. The attachment shows a sample of a Feng Shui review of a home where the owners have stayed in for several years, already and seek Feng Shui improvement. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hello. I am relatively new to Feng Shui. I have a basic question about direction. For example, you are talking about a particular room, say, bedroom. You say "place your bed towards your auspicious direction SE " , then is this SE direction when standing in the center in the bedroom or center of the house? I am confused. Sir,your advice is appreciated. Thank you.

double 8 at main door of apartment
Dear Anon, To be honest, so far, if I am not wrongI cannot recall any Period 7 apartments that have both double #8's together at one sector. Although MS#8 or WS#8 does appear in different sectors but not double MS#8 with WS#8 for any of the 24 directions under Period 7. There are quite a few sectors under Period 8 that do have double #8's. Thus he did add any indication of what your facing direction is e.g. West 2 or East 2 etc.... Most likely the double #8's could refer to a possibility of changing the home to period 8? First and foremost, Feng Shui of any home is based on: location, location and location. The Flying Star numbers need to be read in conjuction with the base star. Thus even if the home has a double #8's but if the base star is #3 (conflicts, quarrels and lawsuits) it needs to be disarmed. Otherwise, many of the sectors that have double #8's are usually good especially if this is the frontage or an activity area of the home such as the living room etc... Sometimes, it may not be practical to have two different entrances and often, this is used as a last resort. In my opinion, often not very practical and won't work most of the time. Quote: Anonymous wrote: dear masters, many thanks in advance for this wonderful forum & opportunity for us to ask questions. My husband and & recently engaged a master to look at our apartment. From the notes that he placed on our floor plans, he had written double 8 on the main front door. Our apartment was buildt sometime in 1998 (Period 7). A friend pointed out to us that the double 8 is bad, as it is a clash between harmony in the home and wealth. What is your advice ? In the meantime, the master whom we engaged told us that the main front door was 'not good' facing for me but it was good for my husband. He's a West and I'm an East kwa 9. As such, he advised us (and we did the renovations) to erect a separate entrance for me. We erected glass doors in our apartment where i could enter my apartment from a different 'facing'. We both use the same main door entrance but upon entering the main door entrance, we have 2 further glass doors - one for me and one for my husband. Do you think this was the 'remedy' the master had in mind for counteract the double 8 ? If it's ok with you - we may ask you for a 2nd opinion and request for a on-site consultation. Thanks so much in advance, Truly appreciate your guidance on this.

Enquiry of dreams
Dear Jyh Song, The best method to avoid dreaming is to sew a "collapsible type of China made scissors" and sew it in a red casing into her sleeping pillow. An alternative is to "close a safety-penknife" and again sew it such that it cannot accidentally open up onto the pillow your mum will be sleeping on. Note: Please ensure that any of the above items are securely fasten. Alternatively, not the best solution is to hand a small scissors onto the window. North American indians hang a "dream-catcher". But this is not Chinese method.. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Chua Jyh Song wrote: Hi master..1st time here in this forum.I like to enquire about my mother's dreams. My mother is in the year of GOAT.Recently,my sister has a new boyfriend. Her boyfriend is in the year of SNAKE & my sister is in the year of TIGER.Ever since my sister has this boyfriend,my mother keeps having this dream.A snake keep chasing after my mother & wanted to bite my mother. My mother keep shouting and my father will awake...My mother told me that for the past 50 years in her life she never had this kind of bad dreams before..

what does 2008 yr of rat mean 4 me,horse
Dear Mary, Please visit this url with forecast for your animal sign:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2008.htm In general, (don't get too unduly worried) as under www.lovesigns.net the animal sign opposite each other are suppose to be the most incompatible of the two. For example, if you were to view the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the Rat faces the horse directly! However, don't get too much auto-suggestion or self-fulfilling prophecy. Warmest Regards, Cecil

My wife bought 3 Himalayan Salt Lamps. Are these okay to have in the house?
Dear Larry, There are two ways to go about under Feng Shui: 1. By personal feel In general, if you and your family members have "positive" feel about it, I think it is good enough to place these lamps at specific locations. 2. By Flying Star Feng Shui Under Flying Star Feng Shui, in particular; sectors that for example have good "mountain" sectors or sectors that need "fire" would be suitable locations for the lamps that are lighted 24 hours. As light from the lamps represent the fire element. And any sector that lacks fire element can have such a lamp introduced to that location. While the salt lamps is considered as mountain objects and can be used at locations where there is say a mountain #8 at that sector. (Not withstanding other star numbers in that sector need to be further analysed). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Bad House Number
Dear Becky, To be honest, if you are referring to the "House-number" report, it is meant more for high-rise apartments. This house number report is based on "Vertical-flying" Star Feng Shui. As the term "vertical" suggests, it has to do with buildings or apartments on different floors. This method is very popular especially in Hong Kong with high density of population living in flats or condominiums. And it is said that a high rise that is on the 6th floor or storey would differ in qi with another same unit on the lower or even upper floors. Thus, if yours is a landed property, this "House-number" report should not be used. But rather, one should, if one knows how to construct a Flying Star Feng Shui chart do a "Horizontal" Flying Star or what is commonly known as the 20 Year Flying Star chart. For landed property, many Chinese especially the Cantonese dialect group does not like house number(s) with number 4, or multiples of 4 such as No. 44, or No. 444 as it symbolies "death" in the Cantonese dialect. Thus for landed property, house numbers would rather be associated with numerlogy than Feng Shui. And numerology is so wide and with so many differing interpretations. Frankly, it is anyone's guess, here. As some people e.g. find 13 inauspicious, but some find it OK. Since Feng Shui is NOT Numerology, one must strictly separate the two as distinct. Furthermore, there are so many types of numerology, some based on Indian, Chinese, Western and much more .... Warmest Regards, Cecil

Kitchen located in the Northwest sector. How?
Dear Anon, 1. Usually, or ideally or nice-to-have, often, if possible we try to avoid having the stove facing the bathroom door. Especially directly facing the toilet bowl. 2. In commonsense Feng Shui, whenever we flush the toilet bowl, the water spray or minute droplets would spray out in all directions and may "spray" onto the stove location. Thus, it would be a good idea to close the toilet door when not in use. Quote: The stove faces the bathroom and I kept the bathroom door close most of the time. There is kitchen top gap between the stove and the sink. I hardly cooks other than occasionally instant noodles. I uses an electric kettle to boil water.

Feng Shui for boss office (construction business)
Dear Anon, 1. Exposed water pipe: Depending on where it is, it can be inauspicious especially if the boss, sits down and immediately can see the "exposed" water pipe. This is symbolic of "wealth" draining out... 2. The best position for the boss is usually based on the Eight House concept or Ba Cai Feng Shui; where in the example, below:- Example of a Male born on 28 May 1962:- Your 4 Good and 4 Bad Direction North-West (Metal) Longevity North (Water) Death North-East (Earth) Prosperity West (Metal) Health East (Wood) Disaster South-West (Earth) Excellent South (Fire) Irritation South-East (Wood) Spook Your BEST sleeping position Between: North-West (292.5 to 337.4) = Longevity West (247.5 to 292.4) = Health Your BEST Working position Between: North-East (22.5 to 67.4) = Prosperity South-West (202.5 to 247.4) = Excellent For this person, ideally, or nice to have him seating facing NE or SW in his office. However, we also need to look at whether the office room or where his office door is in relation to whether, can he sit in any of these good directions. If these two directions may not be achievable to seat at; then may consider trying to seat facing NW or West. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Police Cadet as Co-curricular activity
Dear Anon, To be honest, like you mentioned, joing the NPCC is only a CCA and not a permanent job or something like that. He the key thing is that he is a student and CCA comes second. Thus, in my opinion, really not a big concern. Look at it this way, when it is time to do national service; many of us do not have any control as to which uniform group we would be posted to: Navy, Airforce or Army. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My son who is in Secondary 1 this year belongs to the Weak Water element and he has chosen NPCC, i.e. the Police Cadet, as his co-curricular activity (CCA).

2008
Dear Anon, Please refer to the following link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/yearly-forecast/fortunes-2008.htm Take note the following sectors:- Sickness Star this year is at North-West Misfortune/Sickness Star this year is at South Disputes/Quarrel Star this year is at West Education/Romance Star this year is at North-East Grand Duke this year is North, 0 Degree. - Avoid sitting facing the grand duke or disturbing him by having renovations. Location in Conflict is South. - Avoid having renovations done opposite the location in conflict. For 2008, avoid both North and South as mentioned, above. This year 5 yellow also happens to be at South. Thus, especially for North and South, avoid renovations at this two locations. Quote: Anonymous wrote: 3. Being a weak water tiger and my bedroom is located between the Southwest and the Southeast, what is your suggestion? A Feng Shui audit would have taken into account Flying star numbes at both Southwest and Southeast sectors of your home. If so, no further changes need to be done. Warmest Regards, Cecil

centrepoint of house
Dear Amelia, Sorry, not sure what you meant that you should have your dining table at the centrepoint of the home. A dining table need not necessarily be or (must or even nice to have) located at the centrepoint of the home. In many homes: for the living/dining room area: we first need to locate the actual location of the living room. After doing so, the next area to allocate is the dining table.Again, it may not be atthe centrepoint of the home. In Commonsense Approach to Feng Shui, the toilet: Whenever we flush the toilet bowl, minutewater droplets or sprays will fly all over the place. (Usually it containssome germs). Thusif we have the toilet doordirectly facing thedining table, we try not to enrich our food with such"unseen" minute water droplets from the toilet. If one intends to place the dining table next to the toilet door, the best approach is to close the toilet door when not in use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

star position
Dear Amelia, Gua [Kua] numbers (or commonly known as Eight House or Ba Cai Feng Shui belongs to the Compass School of Feng Shui. Marriage Line
The most popular method is to check with the individual which is their "writing" hand. Majority are either right or left handed. But there are some who when young writes with their left hand but were "forced" to use their right hand. For these people, should or may consider their left hand instead. The rationale is that if we are right handed, this is most likely the hand that will reveal our characteristics, health etc.. While the left hand will be the hand that "shows our desires, wishes... etc.." Since your EX has a deep line, and several small ones... most likely his involvement with you was "deep". However, the lines often change (especially) add on.. in a few years as these lines don't always remain the same.

my lucky love blossom crystal for 2008
Dear Karen, The kindergarten method is to place a crystal at the SW = romance corner (of a room or house). Sometimes, by coincidence this matches the "romance" sector of the home. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, in general, and specifically the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui:- MS # WS # Base # If you seek help from a Feng Shui practitioner, most likely the practitioner will advise to activate MS # especially if is #8 or #9 Where MS#8 = networking, relationship luck. The above example is very general but give an idea as a proper Flying Star analysis of a given sector includes looking at all the relationships of MS# with WS# with base #. Here, there is a higher change of getting romance, by applying the 20 Year Flying Star Feng Shui, vs trial and error or kindergarten Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hanging crystals
Dear Anon, Welcome to the forum! To be honest, crystals are modern invention. For us Chinese, just imagine a generation earlier or a few generations, back! There is no such thing as crystals! In general, man made crystals only appear in my opinion, in recent times (may be 30 years or later). Under the Holy Trinity of Luck:- a. Heaven Luck - Is based on when we are born and our luck or our destiny from that day b. Earth Luck - Feng Shui of a home or office c. Human Luck - In the past, human luck does not really costs any monetary value. But, with so many people, using our feelings to get us to buy products in the "name-of-Feng Shui". Usually most products are cheap to produce and have very high mark-up! So guess who earns most of our hard earned money. Thus, if one wants to purchase a crystal, do it, for the "feel good" or for some decorating a dull room for example. But logically, if your room is already dark, I cannot imagine how a normal crystal can suddenly turn into a glowing crystal or reflect light unless there is either a natural source of light or artificial ones that concentrates light into the crystal to bring all sorts of rainbow colours. Truly, if you feel great about, it will boost the human factor and enhance your room. I believe another alternative is to use flouresent lighting which nowadays, can brightly light up a dark room. Thus, in conclusion, buy a crystal if you like it but not for the sake of Feng Shui. As these are commercial products, that's it. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hello! I'm new here.. and just wanted advice on hanging crystals. real element - for logo design
I will only clarify a few points. As this is not what the purpose of the forum is about. 1. For a Strong wood person, the existing green logo on it's own is considered not suitable for a Strong Wood person. 2. However, a squarish logo represents Earth element. And under the Productive Cycle of the Five Elements concept: Earth supports or help Metal (in particular weak metal grow) 3. In addition, for a Strong Wood person, I don't see what's wrong with using a squarish logo. As Square logo represents Earth. And imagine a strong tree with strong roots; which digs into the earth to get nurishment. 4. Orange under Chinese culture belongs to the metal element. As the phonetic sound-like "gold". For example, Cantonese dialect group call mandarin or an orange " Kum " and in addtion the Hokkien dialect group call it "Kim" which in Hokkien is gold. Thus, soon, when the Chinese New Year comes, many youngsters would visit elderly relatives or their parents home by bringing a pair of "kum" or "kim". Two or a pair is considered auspicious and orange since it is considered as gold - should be considered as belonging to the metal element. Warmest Regards, Cecil
